Not sure how people feel about Tony Northrup, but here is a pretty informative video on the practical differences of these cameras.

Thank you for posting this. I have saved enough money to buy a 5DIII but have been waiting for them to go on sale. This video has certainly opened my mind to the 6D. The difference in price could sure buy a lot of accessories. Guess I'll keep sleeping on it.
Interesting video. Thanks for sharing.

Thank You, very informative and done so i can understand it.
Just viewed the video and found it excellent. He is an effective and relaxed communicator. His explanations were so clear and understandable.
I find it difficult to maintain concentration when reading a lengthy written review but his style and practical examples make it so relevant and I learned a great deal from this one video.
Many thanks for posting - I will now check out his book also!!
I'm glad you all liked it. I downloaded his book several months ago via my Kindle for 10 bucks. Warning: if you are an experienced photographer, you might find it has less useful information. However, if you are a beginner I can see this book as being a great resource.
I liked this video. It confirmed that the 7D is my best next step, plus I'd like to check out his book. I've been taking photos for decades, but digital photos only for a couple of years: I still have tons to learn. Thanks for making this available.

Hi, I have another question posted here about buying a full frame camera and whether my crop frame camera lens would work with it. This video by Tony Northrup does not answer that question but really helps my decision to switch to full frame. Great video.
