Colorado is a great state for photo ops, IMHO.

Top one - see how the sky/clouds are washed out? That happens when there's a wide range between the lightest and the darkest parts of an image. Your camera tries to find a balance, and what happens is that dark parts get darker, and the light parts get lighter. We don't see it because our eyes and brain are far, far, far more sensitive and better at processing that kind of scene.

You might be able to adjust something like that in post processing, or by using a graduated ND filter to block some of the light on the top of the frame, or by setting your exposure compensation. You need to get the bottom part lighter, and the top part darker. Tough to do.

A cp filter..circular polarizing filter would have helped these a lot, but certainly a beautiful bunch of scenery..

tracey, I agree with JimH on the top photo. I am mixed on the second photo and all I can say is when such a wide angle is used to get the photo that you eye sees, the photo loses. I am sure you saw a great opportunity is that photo. The last photo again has too much in it, cropping below the electrical wires would help.
