I have a farily new Cannon 60D camera. I am getting flashing black marks in my photos when trying to view the pictures from the camera. Does anyone know why this is happening?

You have the "highlight alert" turned on. It's warning you about areas of the photo that may be over exposed and blown out.
If you check your playback options in one of the playback menus you should be able to turn it off.
