I have enjoyed the effects of long exposure photography I was thrilled when I discovered this section. These are a few I took in February of this year when I was in Mt. Tremblant skiing.

I used a Canon 7d. ISO 200. F/16. I switched the camera to bulb setting.

Mt. Tremblant has certainly come a long way. When I skied there there were no buildings and only a jay bar from the parking lot to the chair lift.
I guess I should go back. Thanks for sharing these lovely photos.

Hi Fran,

I am just some guy who tries to take pictures. I am not a photographer. But I have always wondered about long exposure. What would your shots look like if taken, lets say, in auto mode? Is there an answer to that question, or should I just go out and experiment myself?

Thanks

MW

I would imagine the exposure would be based on the bright lights and you really wouldn't see anything but the lights.

I think you are right. Auto mode would not let enough light in to capture the entire image.

Thank you everyone. I didn't see the paper bag on the step in the one shot until after I printed it. Lesson learned...
