Hello everyone, my name is Garland and i'm very pleased to meet you all. I've never really been much good at having to address an audience, so i'm relieved that i don't have to look at you while doing this, it would get ugly. Anyway, i was born in Sanbernardino, California, and grew up mostly in Tracy, Ca. I am 37 yrs. at the moment, engaged, and have a beautiful daughter, and 2 year old grandson. i would really like to improve my skills in photoghaphy, i have a decent digital camera, and hope maybe to do this as a second income. well again thank you for reading this intro and hope i did not bore you too much. well have a great day

We could see you a lot more clearly without your dark glasses on.

We are just kidding you. This site has some great helpful people, some awesome photographers and a lot of good information. If I may be so bold can I recomend 2 books from amphoto press and should be available at barnes and noble or books a million. Both are by Bryan Peterson (my favorite photographer). The first "understanding exposure" will teach you how to get not only the technicaly correct exposure but the creative exposure too. The second "learning to see creatively" opened up a world of subject possabilities for me. Both books improved the quality of my work a hundred fold. Every photographer should own them. ( my commission check now Mr Peterson) Parden the typos I can spell I just cant type.
