"The republicans will not come back until they can better articulate why there ideas are beneficial, but they certainly are not simply looking out for the rich,"
.............................................

Right. They are looking out for the rich while trying to convince the others that they are for them too. Economically, the party offers the bottom 47% nothing but smoke and mirrors, distracts them with volatile single issues, like anti-arbortion, anti-immigration, anti-minorities, pro guns, and pro unlimited militarization. The average person is finally beginning to figure out the reality of the trickle down lie, which only shifted all the increased wealth of the last 35 years upward. The time has come when the lies no longer work. A new set of lies must be invented to steal enough votes to win the next election.

Used to be a Dem. Then slowly the Democrats turned into the give party, what they gave was part of my hard earned money to the takers, now I am a republican.

Where is even an iota of support for this conclusion?

The distribution or collection of taxes has nothing to do with marriage. The collection and distribution of taxes and or benefits can be addressed without the consideration or redefinition of marriage.
We know why preferential treatment was given to heterosexuals couples in regards to marriage. It was to promote heterosexual unions with marriage in the eyes of God. Today the squeaky wheel is homosexual inclusion in morality. If homosexual activity is moral then bigamy is most certainly moral and must be included in the push for the same legal rights. Not to muddy the waters... an unborn child that is alive and demonstrates a heart beat must be initiated legal protection under law as well. After all these minorities are human and all humans are equal...

Bigamy should be legal? I think so. if that is how some people choose to live, why should the government direct them otherwise?

Interesting article, probably valid data (I am not a statistician). But I can tell you from firsthand observation of a lot of people in my area of the country (the SF Bay Area) that a lot of people are convinced that the Republicans are anti-immigrant, anti-the -poor-and-oppressed, anti-Black, anti-gay, anti-poor and oppressed in fact damn near anti-the-average citizen of this country. Many are convinced that the Republican party is simply pro-white, pro-corporations, pro-business. I, myself, believe these things, and it isn't as though I am ignorant opf the policies of the Republican Party in Washington. It is also true that the Republicans in Washington have been totally devoted to fomenting Obama's failure at the expense of spending time solving the people's problems. This is amply demonstrated over and over and over in the book I have recommended several times here, "The New New Deal." When you see what happened right after Obama's first election -- and I mean in the first few days, which are described in detail here -- you will see that Republican fervor to stop Obama from achieving anything, including things Republicans had previously favored or proposed was single-minded and at the expense of achieving anything for the electorate. This is all detailed and documented in the book I have mentioned, so please don't take it as my "opinion." It is established, documented fact.

Recommended books don't make anything written become the ultimate truth. For every pro-Liberal book you can recommend I can counter-recommend a pro-Conservative book. The extreme of either side believes every word of their hero's book and the hero gets rich from selling the book while the bulk of the U.S. citizenry don't even read books. The rest are led to believe what the media wants them to believe. Then there are those who vote for a candidate because of how cute he is and whether they want to sleep with him, those who vote for the skin color they prefer, those who vote for the candidate who supports their narrow hot spot cause, etc. So recommending a book out of all the thousands of biased books published annually is a moot point completely.

Peter, any chance you speak Spanish? Word is that Maduro in Venezuela needs a speech writer.

Thanks for the tip, however, I only speak Hungarian and English. My Spanish is paltry, no below paltry. However, I could work for the GOP, because their verbal misdirection seems to be fooling fewer and fewer people all the time. it is time to create propaganda that is not so easy to expose.

I know you had fun with this one. So be it. You did make me laugh.

So does that mean they are looking out for the rich democrats as well? How many are "rich" on both sides of the isle? The presidents net worth is around $11 million, I call that rich.

  I kinda enjoy going back and forth with you from time to time but not always... I will sooner or later respond to the other thread.... the one where you suggest that I am a dangerous man... I really think that if you knew me outside of political debate, you would probably have a kinder view of me.
