Although I have not been heavily involved with photography for quite a while, I always had a camera. I started with a Pentax H1a that I "inherited" when my uncle died back in the early '70s. Because I didn't really know what I was doing, I started buying Popular Photography, Modern Photography, occasionally Petersen's Photographic, and any other that caught my interest. I had a good collection for a while but then got married, had kids, and generally moved on with life. But I would still glance at them in the magazine rack.

I moved through some newer cameras (Pentax, Canon AT-1), always inspired by what I saw in the magazines. I even planned my vacations around places I thought would be "photographically pleasing" here in Michigan.

When digital came along I jumped on board with a Kodak DC7590 with a whole 5 MP. And my phone camera, mostly out of convenience.

A while back my daughter bought a Rebel T5. When I found out, I started borrowing it.
