Me too. Band and Orchestra director for 42 years, played in dance bands, towns bands, jam bands, local Symphony (bass trombone) and even a service band (748th Air Force band that is no longer in service.) Took up photography over seas in the 40's and have loved ever minute. Like the bunny and the battery---still going.

I'm a backyard bird feeder and photographer. Had the perfect set up in Missouri for feeding birds and taking their photos from inside the house. We're back in Indiana; I'm still feeding birds, but I just can't arrange the feeders for inside photography. So, I'm looking for a photography blind. I'd like to be able to sit in it while poking the lens through an opening. Any suggestions?

Get some PVC pipe and glue. Use Camo material or Green perhaps black material at Home Depot in the garden center, use ties to hold it on to PVC pipes and cut a hole for camera. 5 by 5 is good. Move it were ever. I prefer a chair blind. buy from Cabellas.

Very nice series John G. Reminds me of the time many years ago when my friends and I use to swim in the river at Conception park even tho' there was a public pool there. They river drew us, however it never looked this good. Year 1939 --1942 the good years --I think!

Mike --I have already nominated you for photographer of the year and then you come up with these gems. How nice. I would like to know about the "twilight" shot. What is a house doing in the middle of the lake with no visible land connection that I can see. The picture is just stunning to me.

Very nice, but I believe the 2nd shot is not an Oriole but a Yellow-breasted Chat.

Shooter-- You are correct. Thanks. My bird brain shorts out at times.
