I just purchased a Nikon D500 camera from KEH camera that looks like new. A friend recommended this camera and KEH. I want to get a back up battery. Any recommendations for off brand batteries, other than Nikon or should I stay with the Nikon battery?? Thank you.
I have:
Nikon camera bodies - Z6, Z6ii and a Z8 (previously had a d7200 also)
Nikon batteries - (1)EN-EL15, (2)EN-EL15b, (2)EN-EL15c
3rd party batteries - (2)BM-ENEL15C (BM is the manufacturer)
All 7 batteries work in the Z6's, but the 3rd party ones will not work in my Z8. I get a compatibility message when installed in the Z8.
The EL15c version has more capacity than the EL15 (2280mAh vs 1900mAh). I don't know the costs of any these batteries today but if I were only buying one I think I'd be leaning toward the Nikon EL15c.
Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

ps. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding compatible batteries in future since Nikon is still using these in their current models.

received this today from the wall street Journal. a couple of years ago the local papers stop delivering.
"Due to logistical constraints, we will no longer be able to provide print delivery in your ZIP code. For this reason, you will be updated to a digital-only subscription starting April 1, 2024. "
What good is the digital. Oh well, half the articles were never proofread with paragraph long sentences and they were getting more left of center.
Two years ago our local paper went from daily print delivery plus digital to a daily digital and a three times per week printed but not delivered. Needless to say we cancelled after 40 years as a loyal customer. I find I don't miss it. What I do miss though are magazines that have gone 100% digital, especially photography ones. I much prefer magazines in hard copy rather than online.

I gave up on the WSJ not long after the Amazon magnate purchased the company, and the Financial Times is not available here. I suppose I now get my (often mis) information from various on line sources. It's a new world.
Speaking of misinformation...I believe Bezos owns the Washington Post and Murdoch owns the Wall Street Journal which he purchased in 2007 :)

followed above set at 150 and still the side panels are micro.
You have to restart LR for it to take effect. I find that medium is too small and 150 a bit large
Nice one Voss! Great positioning to get both those reflections. Kudos!

Great composition and perfect pp treatment for it. My eyes just go round and round seeing more each time. Excellent! I passed on a chance to go to NOLA this year. Your images are making me kick myself.

Great capture and excellent PP for this image!
