Unfortunately, this is not limited to Canon. I sell this type of equipment, and to my knowledge, this has been common to all inkjet printer manufacturers since at least the last 5-7 years. HP led the charge on this in the middle of the last decade, and all the other manufacturers have followed suit. For example, there are microchips in the HP cartridges, and they have to appropriately handshake with the printer (and in some cases, with HP itself) regarding status (this is why you can't get reliable refilled HP cartridges anymore).

There may be a delay as I'm out until about 10pm, but PM me and we can get this shipped tomorrow.

Sean, what's your zip code so I can figure out your shipping cost. If we ship tomorrow, you should be able to get it before Christmas.

Going through the closet, and tripping over excess/unused gear, I've unearthed the following:

Lowepro 100AW. $35 + Shipping
Like new. Complete with raincover and all dividers. Photos below. Probably perfect for someone with a rangefinder 35 or mirrorless. Never even took it out for a shoot before I put it away as too small for my purposes.

Lowepro 200AW. $50 + Shipping
Also like new, complete with raincover and all dividers. Photos below. Tried it, but apparently, I preferred my old Tamrac Velocity, as it was hiding in the closet with my enlarger, my EOS60D with a dead top screen, several lenses, and the travel tripod.

Manfrotto 7321YB. $75 + Shipping.
Complete with case and head. Like the other stuff here, it's in VG to Like New condition.
It's probably a great travel tripod or for a mirrorless shooter, but I've had it for a couple of years and have taken it out in the field exactly once. Great for traveler or hiking, neither of which I can do anymore.

Everything's somewhat dusty, but in excellent to like-new condition. I've got a bunch more pics, but it's taking forever for me to get things uploaded. If I can figure out how to attach a link, I'll add it.

***

If you think I'm crazy high or low, please feel free to PM me. These are all older models, but they look and feel like new. I'll be shipping from 97062. I can ship Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS to get to you in time for Christmas gifting. Prefer payment by PayPal.

There may be more. So far, I've got the enlarger, the 4490 flat bed, and several older EOS and film cameras to dust off and ponder. Like the Tardis, my closet appears larger inside than outside.

Really really tempted by the 70-200 F4. Had to unload my f2.8 because it was too much to pack anymore, but I miss it so...

Wow! Don't know exactly what I'd use it for, or where I'd set it up, but wow!

There is a proposed class action lawsuit against Canon because of its printers. At least one model of the Pixma series all-in-one will not scan or fax if there is no ink in the printer. Ink is not necessary to scan or fax, but you must still buy and install the cartridges. Another model (or two) will not print in black unless there is a color cartridge installed and ready to go. If you run out of color ink, you can't print black, either.

Yes, I know that in some cases, some colored ink is used when printing black, but that isn't necessary. On my printers, I can select "Black Only."

It's a shame the way businesses are heading. We pay the money, but we don't own the item. We can't repair it, we can't use third party batteries or ink, and in some cases, we can't sell the item. Most cell phones do not let you replace the battery or use a MicroSD card. If you want lots of memory, you have to pay the company inflated prices for it. Remember the song "Sixteen Tons"? The coal company owned everything and set the prices for everything in "the company store." It looks like we are headed in that direction.

Don't know about the class action on Canon, but that's been a regular "feature" on HP printers since I retired, about 10 years ago. And with the chips HP puts in the cartridges, they can't be refilled, because the chip has to be "reset" and HP is the only one who can do that.

Yes, I do.
Paypal is through my business, Contract Paralegal Services LLC. I think paypal.me/wdburt97062 is the link, if I've done this right.
What's your shipping address?
