Just curious, in your photographic journey was there a time, situation, class, or experience etc. That you can look back on and say...wow I get that concept...and the light turned on in your creative mind to improve your shots. Sometimes as I am looking through my average everyday photos one will stand out and I have to step back and say to myself, wow that one turned out really well what was I thinking about or doing that helped bring it to life.

My answer to your question would have nothing to do with cameras. I totally misread the intent of your question.

OK, I am 79 years young and I love the new cameras. I went through black and white only and getting back a lot of bad pictures. Now I only print the good ones, delete the rest. One needs to move on and enjoy the new technology. Just my opinion.

Well said.
My oldest grandson seems to have a genuine interest in photography. He has an older D90. His parents want to buy him a used full frame. I worked a deal with them. My son in law had ordered the new D850. When it arrives, I will give my grandson my D610 I will get the D810. His mother is going down to B & H and buy a refurbished lens. We will both get to enjoy the new technology. To be honest I really don't need the D810. The "deal" was too good to pass up.

I am not new to photography. The one thing that often surprises me, is how rude, nasty and mean some of the people...mostly men...are on this site. I tend to picture an old man, in his underwear, alone, lonely and posting negative comments.

Some people feel they have to criticize, insult, make rude remarks, make fun of, etc, when people post something. They do this even if they aren't even interested in the topic.

This is not always a friendly site. There are people that are very helpful, but the rude ones take away from that.

"Whatever you do, don't look in your manual or visit the Nikon site."
"I've always wondered how the human can be so naïve, such that their brain thinks $174.99 is far less expensive than $175. "
"I think too many sellers on UHH have an inflated opinion of what their old, unwanted equipment is worth."

I would like to request in 2018, that those people hold back on their negative comments.
If you don't have something nice to say, don't post anything.

There are newbies here, to both photography and to the use of the computer. Yes, it is easy to say, *just google it* but there is a way to say it without being mean about it. That might not be the first thing someone thinks about when they are trying to get some information.

We all share a love of photography, lets be kind to one another, be helpful, or don't help at all.

Wishing all a Healthy & Happy Holiday.

You should have an understanding of what you read. You have to be smart. You have to be honest. Don't let your hatred be your light.

Remember the only reason he is President is that Hillary was a dishonest lying untrustworthy person. She would also fit your definition of Trump.

So your source is your mom? And you are expecting us to ignore all of the information in the public record because your mom says so?

Actually, you were responding to the OP that noted that the current Medicare premium wiped out the SS COLA by saying that the root cause is that the ACA caused the price of the various Supplemental plans to increase.

I know you and your Mom don't agree with this but the fact is that the premiums were for Part B, not any of the supplemental plans. The problem is that health care costs continue to rise and that has nothing to do with Obama, as much as you would like to blame him for everything.

If you are really oissed off about the cost of health care, then take that up with the Republicans who wrote into the law that established Part D that Medicare is forbidden from using their vast purchasing power to negotiate for lower drug prices.

THAT was nothing less than a blow job for Big Pharma and both taxpayers and Medicare recipients pay for it because the Republicans know what exactly which side of the bread is buttered. I would provide you links but you have already told me that the web is full of lies, so why bother? We in the fact based world really have nothing to offer you.

Let us know if your mom changes her mind.
So your source is your mom? And you are expecting ... (show quote)

How do we know your mom is telling the truth?? No one has said for sure they are cutting Social Security. When and by whom was that ever said?? Your "fact-based" world that you alleged to be true is because it caters to your prejudices, your bigotry, your biases your intolerance.
