Yes, the Grand Canyon looks great in color, but it also looks elegant in b&w. Nice job, Sammy147.

For me, there is nothing like b&w photos. And yours is great! Nice job.

Agree. Nikon's quote is more than what I originally paid for the camera and lens.

Thank you. I tried Jerry's suggestions, but neither worked. I will call Nikon and see if they can help.

Jerry,
Thank you for your very quick reply. I tried both the two-button reset and your second suggestion of removing the battery, etc. Unfortunately, neither worked, so I will call Nikon and see what they say. Thank you again for your help!

Hello,
I bought a refurbished Nikon D90 about two years ago and have been very happy with it until last week. The problem I have is when I take a picture the shutter stays open for about one-half of a second regardless of the shutter speed that is indicated and required for the shot. The data for the shot will show the shutter speed that I selected, but the real shutter speed is much, much slower than the indicated speed.
Recently I have been reading Darrell Young's "Mastering the Nikon D90," and I have made some menu selections based on what I read in his book. I am hoping that I have made a change that is causing my shutter problem, but I have not been able to find the cause of the problem despite numerous times of reviewing the camera's menus and reviewing the book.
I hope some of my more learned UHH members can help me pinpoint the problem. Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Chuck

It is an F2, but which model of F2 is determined by the photomic head on the camera.SO the models are as follows:

plain F2 Photomic: DP-1 head
F2S:DP-2
F2A: DP-11
F2SB: DP-3
F2AS:DP-12

Also, the F2A has an "A" on the front of the head, and the F2AS has "AS" on the front, so those two can be identified that way. Possibly there are some special variations within these four models, but that is the basic run-down.
