I was in Iceland in August. It depends on what you plan to do. I did a horseback riding tour up north. I did wear mid calf boots. Take a rain/wind breaker, winds up north can be quite terrific as *Just Fred* reports. While there may or may not be snow. A few weeks after I was there, there was a terrific snow storm in the north.

I love Iceland. I have a multi-media slide show I will be presenting to a travel club on Long Island. It is a combo of 3 separate trips to Iceland with authentic Icelandic music.

Excellent shots. I really liked first photo. You captured the intensity and focus of the eyes on its target. Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos.

I recently bought an inexpensive Canon all-in-one printer model MG3620 from Target. When I tried to connect it to my MacBook and download the driver, I got an error message that announced a “critical error.” It said to call a support number. When I did, the tech had me go through a bunch of things and he concluded my computer had a Trojan worm. He wanted me to proceed to investigate with him. I got a bad feeling and told him I would only deal with Apple and he hung up. I did some research and evidently this is a scam where he eventually would have charged me $99. Btw, I never have been able to connect and the printer is going back. I did run an antivirus check with a Bitdefender, supposedly the best antivirus program for at least Mac, and nothing showed up. What is Canon doing, allowing something like this fraud to be perpetrated on purchasers?

I recently bought a Canon 90D camera from Willoughbys in New York. When I logged on to my Canon account where I have all my other Canon equipment logged/documented. I was very surprised it would not allow me to enter my new camera because it was not authorized to be sold in the USA. It has the Canon logo and serial numbers just like all my other Canon stuff right down to the carrying strap. What is Canon doing is correct. I tried calling them and got the robot which was a total waste of time. I resorted to sending them an mail and got essentially the same response that warranty is no good. Loyal customer is lost.

Wow, possibilities I never would have thought about. Experience is the best instructor. Thank you. My thoughts run in line with a sun streak breaking through the canopy. It falls behind the same angled stick running at a diagonal and is at the same angle as the shadow of the Great Blue. The ray follows the same angle in both photos. or one of those special UFO's that hang out in swamps.

It can be with larger images and 4K displays. An engineering workstation card, like an Nvidia Quadro, is even better, especially if you want to use a 30 bit color pipeline for your graphics.

But you may want to look at a better source, such as Puget Systems, for some benchmarks and detailed analysis.

Thanks for the suggestion to look at Puget Systems. Learned a lot about Photoshop performance.
How much RAM does Photoshop need? Worth reading for sure.

10 recent captures of Great White Egrets. If you have the time please tell me your favorite(s). I am entering a photo contest and greatly value your opinions. I appreciate you looking....Vic and Sally

I really liked #10 flight wise, wings, eyes, toenails. winner if same white as #7. My winner would be #4 looking under wing. Great detail and it is hypnotic in that I can not figure out which feather it thinks is out of place.

Thanks for sharing excellent grouping.

My 7D acts up now and then, once or twice a year. My solution is to pull battery and turn camera off and back on. Then put new battery in. I have found the terminal connections on the batteries get corroded up and need cleaning. The 7D is one tough camera. Good luck.

I do desert where the fine sand is the worst and the ocean where salt spray is usually minimal. I use a fine mist spray bottle filled with distilled water. Make sure lens is at least at a 45 degree angle to the ground and spray: gravity takes the chunks. Salt sometimes takes two squirts. Wipe dry with good microfiber cloth. Trick is to keep microfiber cloth in zip bag to keep salt and grains of salt away from wipe cloth. Camera body I just spray cloth and gently wipe. Most issues are avoided if you keep camera and lens under your windbreaker until you see the shot. Large zip lock bags for rainy days or long boat rides to minimize exposure. Don't forget luck is a factor.

For 8x10 number 2 would be worth a try. Has a greater depth and shows sun shadows well. I always take the easy way out. "Whatever you think Dear." Good luck and thanks for sharing the photos.

A whole day of photography for $89.00. How can you go wrong? Be prepared to take notes because a lot of ideas fly by quickly and will become a resource for you later. Good luck.

Good topic for discussion....

While I tend to agree (or want to agree) with the thrust of the comments made so far, I am reminded of a visit to a Native American pueblo where we were told NOT to take photos of the cemetery.

So religious and local cultural considerations should be important factors in your decisions.

I agree. There are lots of cultural reasons to not photograph Native american burial sites. Unfortunately, a big one is that the photo becomes a to do list for grave robbers looking for valuable gold or turquoise jewelry, etc.

Very good point. If photography was not fun we would not do it. Pixels and file size math is always a hoot.
Camera button is the problem. Thanks.
