Age and physical requirements, now using all Leica equipment. Much smaller and a lot lighter than my Nikon stuff. Also great camera system.

I have hand tremors and the condition according to my Dr. is called "Essential Tremors" as opposed to Parkinson's which occurs when the hands are at rest and the ETremors which occur when the hands are in use. For example open your hands and with extended fingers and curved down, push against a hard surface such as a tabletop and see if your hands shake. My Dr. prescribed Carbidopa 25/ Levodopa 100mg SA tablet. Took care of my shakes. I have been taking it for about 7 years. Hope this gives you help. Hank

I'm about to get a Leica CL with the 18mm kit lens. Is there a book that you recommend that covers the camera and appropriate lenses -- especially those that autofocus? I want to keep the system light and I'd love a zoom that goes out to about 135mm equivalent and doesn't weigh a ton and is available used for under $1000.

Go to You Tube and you will find quite a few videos on the CL including the red dot forum. You should understand that the CL is a crop camera (1.5x) and the lenses for the TL and L cameras are all crop lenses. The SL lenses are full frame. You can use the Leica M lenses with an adapter, they run in price from $10 to almost $400. You can find adapters to fit various lens mounts to the CL, T, TL, Tl2, etc. For instance I can get an adapter to fit my Nikon F mounts to the Leica. Also when you use the less expensive adapters you will be shooting manual all the way. There is almost no Leica lenses that cost less than $1000.00 that are a direct fit to the CL. I am still learning about the Leica Equipment and their short hand designations for cropped, lens type, camera designations, etc. I currently have the CL (2), TL2, X2, and Q2 (what a camera!). I have used all Nikon equipment (FF) for the last thirty years, but just too heavy. I did shoot with a Leica M3 back in the days of film. If you would like to contact me, use email hankswan@sbcglobal.net or phone (361-993-9861). The best thing about Leica is the color rendition, unequaled in current digital offerings. P.S. you might want to take a look at the TL2. I has some advantage over the CL, including only one SD slot, but 32G built into the camera. Good luck with your Leica advantage. Hank

Computer chips and magnets are not friendly. Maybe this not a factor, but anytime someone gets close to my computer or cameras I get nervous. Just a thought.

Take a look at the HP all in one. I bought one for my wife and it does a good job. 27inch monitor built in speakers, 16gb memory, etc. Go to HP and take a look around. Cost about $1495 all done, price, shipping, sales tax.

i know that there are a couple of models of Leica made like the japan cameras. But there are several models that are true Leicas that are made in Germany. The X2. Q2. Cl. TL2, the M-models and possibly some others that I cannot think of right off hand. Many unique features that are far too numerous to list here, but as an example the TL2 is the only camera I know of that will accept SD cards, but should you forget to bring a card or run out of space it has built in 30gb storage in addition to the SD card slot. The Q2 is pricey but you have built in a lens that retails for about 5 grand. When buy a Leica it has a world wide warranty. I bought my TL2 from a shop in the Netherlands (shipped to me for about $70 dollars, received in three days) and I had a fairly sizeable savings on the camera. I have used most major brands and Nikon for the last 40 or so years. I tried Canon long ago but every time they brought out a new camera, you needed a whole new set of lenses. If I need a long lens then I use my Nikon P950. Otherwise A Leica. Unless you have a lot of spare cash you will not be hauling around a lot of glass.

You might want to take a look at some results from a Leica camera and lens. Long touted as the very best color rendition. You know how Germans are about engineering mechanical things!

You might want to take a look at the results of a meeting with the 18 member board discussing the pros and cons of the covid-19 vaccinations and booster shops. Looks like the folks on the front lines of medical care have a reason for refusing the vaccinations. FWIW. try this address. https://www.republicanpartynews.org/bombshell-testimony-top-scientists-at-vaccine-hearing-reveal-injections-killing-more-people-than-saving/

Grow up, every time you give a check to someone you are giving them the same information. Having the money sent directly to your account is probably the safest way to get your money. Money from MPB to my account has never been a problem. FWIW

I was, once upon a time, a Canon camera user. I changed to Nikon because every time Canon brought out a new model, you would be looking for a new set of lenses for it. I used Nikon equipment for many years and never needed repairs. But the idea that if I was in a foreign country and bought a Nikon product they would not service it warranty or otherwise is not acceptable. A few years ago I found that the Nikon equipment was just getting too heavy for me and I moved over to Leica. Their products come with an International Warranty and no matter where you bought it they will service it under warranty or if no longer covered will repair it with a reasonable fee. This is how the world should work, if they made it and it is defective or has some user induced problem they should repair it. My 2 cents worth.

I sent you a note that because of problems with Paypal trying to send you money, I cancelled the purchase. It seems that your email address is not valid and all of my emails (and Paypal's) are returned with the message that the address is incorrect. Also Paypal wanted you to get a Paypal account to be able receive the funds. I have never had that happen before so I decided to end the purchase. Sorry about the problems. Paypal must be making changes to their operations that I am not aware of. Hank
