I had the same thing occur to me. Here is my story. After installing Mojave my 2014 Macbook Air became a dead brick. I called Apple support; after 5 hrs of working with them Mojave was running but no internet and indication no hardware installed even though in save mode it worked. After numerous attempts to make it work, they gave up and an appointment with Apple’s Genius bar was made for next week.
I arrived at the Apple Store and the tech also could not get it to work and all his attempts to reinstall failed. Next step, leave the laptop for the backroom Genius to fix. The next day I got a phone call and told my hardware was OK, they wiped my hard drive and installed Mojave, not an update version but what would come with a new Mac. When I picked it up we went over how to startup using my time Machine backup. When at home I started the install procedure as directed and at the appropriated time connected to time machine. Now a new problem, the laptop would not boot up, it constantly would restart by itself. Back to the Apple help desk. To make a longer story short after three days with Apple support (about 7+ hrs), 2 trips to Apple’s Genius bar, another 4hrs, I re-installed Sierra from my backup and got my computer back. Total time spent is over 24hrs and I am back to where I started I will never ever install Mojave to my Airbook or to my IMac

I stumbling upon the group in July and now like to say hello. I’ve seen great pictures and read a few great posts. Looking forward in sharing and gaining more knowledge from the collective.

I am a retired civil engineer. I began my photography hobby in my twenties starting with a Yashica 35mm, bought at the Army PX. A few years later, my wife gifted me a Minolta SRT 2, which I still have, and still use for fun. I took a pause in this hobby to take up woodworking and then woodcarving. I wish I had access to this great collection of bird pictures when I did bird carving.

I returned to photography with the Nikon D80 when they first introduced and then upgrading to a D7000. This year I switched to Canon and have the 6D and 7Ti. I intend to sell all my Nikon gear to acquire a new Canon lens.
