Yes those are all really good places to take people, the project that I am working on is more in a location that is driven by the tourist industry, the tours will be shorter that what you were a custom to, also there is a technical aspect of this type of tour meaning that the sunset and sunrises are are planed days, weeks and even months in advance, this allows me to be more efficient with each tour.

I quit doing photo tours in 2013 after 16 yearsof them. It got to where it was taking up way too much of my time. Several UHH members went a few of them and a reunion tour is coming this June.
You will have fun but it definitely not a "retirement" leisure type of venture.

Can I ask what locations that you were doing your tours?

I am in the funding stages of this project and I am looking for a Photographer that is passionate about working at something that you love and make a profit at the same time.

I have been working on this project for over a year, developed a business plan and many other items needed to prove that this business has a viable place in the market. I have walked down locations and have talked to people in the hotel industry and they are telling me that people are asking for what I am willing to provide them.

The coming soon page is www.letsExploreTours.com

This is going to be my retirement business so I have to make this work!

If you have interest in know more about my project get back to me.

Thanks!

Reduce fraction was one of my shortcoming. I couldn't do it well. I later learned a way of doing it but it takes a lot of time. So when I had access to programmable calculator it was about the first thing I programmed it to do.

Same with me!

Note that by convention, when stating aspect ratio, the long side should be listed first...4:3, 7:5, etc., unlike when describing paper size. And as mentioned by fetzler, common factors should be removed. This means that a 16x20 print has an aspect ratio of 20:16 ==> 5:4. Landscape vs. portrait does not make any difference.

Guys thanks for all of your input, I think that I have a better understanding on how to figure the cropping size aspect ratio. I am using a Canon 5DSR so I am shooting raw at over 50 MP so I do like to crop in at times, thanks and all of you have a great day!

Does anyone out there know of any type of calculator that can convert a print size to an Aspect Ratio?

Sometimes I want to print something that is an example say 50 X 25, but when I am cropping in Capture One I am not sure what Aspect Ratio to use to match up to the final size that I want to print.

Any thoughts or tricks that other people have used?

Thanks, funny because I took that with my cell phone at the time, but it looked so cool from that perspective in the parking lot.
