I have a question.Has anyone ever been to antelope canyon in Page,AZ? If there is, as you were walking in the canyon taking photos, what types of settings and lens did you use? Did you use a tripod or a flash? Thank you
I'm so sorry that my main email was wrong. I meant to say that I get over exposure shots, not under exposure shots.
I have tried every shutter speed on my camera. I have even tried to get slow exposure using manual mode. I know that I'm doing something very wrong, but I just haven't figured it out yet.
Hello, my name is Gary. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to shoot long exposure shots during the day. I have google it and watched 4-5 different video on how to do it. But, all I get are under exposure. I shoot with a canon 6d, I'm in the bulb mode, f22, iso 100 and I'm using a 10 stop sd filter. Tell me if I'm missing anything. Now, I have been shooting boats on the river, with no shade around me at all, should that make a difference. Can long exposure shot be taken in bright day light with only a 10 stop sd filter, I don't know? Is there anyone out there that can help me.
Thank you
If you were going to take photos from a helicopter at night of a city and
you have the following items in your arsenal, canon 6D and a canon 5D Mark
IV. The lenses are canon 50mm, 24-105mm and a 70-200mm. How would you use
the items in my arsenal to get the best photos possible and what settings would you use.
Thank you,
GKR
Thanks for your help and I'll be heading to the book store this weekend. Need to get that book"Understanding Exposure". Take care and thanks again.
He did explain it to me, but in a hurry up way.
Now, what are F stops? Here's a crazy question for you. Can I put a 3 stop filter over a 10 stop filter or is it best to use one filter at a time?
I went to the camera store to buy a ND filter and the person that was helping me asked me how many stops do I want.
What are stops, how do I use then and are they necessary?
Good Morning,
How are you doing? My settings while using long exposure were, mode bulb, iso 100 and aperture 22. The timing was up to me. But, one thing that I didn't use was a ND filter. Now, that I have one I'm gong out to try it as soon as I can. Thank for your help.
Hi, how are all of you photographers going? My name is Gary and I'm just getting started in photography. My first question is, why is it that I get no photo when I use long exposure for longer than 5 seconds?( Just a silver looking photo) Please send me some tips. Thanks
