The only DX lens I use with my full frame camera is the Nikon 12-24 f4 AF-S. Without vignetting I can use the lens as a 16-24 f4. The results are awesome.

And you experience no edge/corner image degradation? Sounds like a well designed (perhaps over-designed) lens!

Using Nikon FX lens on Nikon DX body

Wrong, the f number of a lens is a function of the aperture diameter and focal length, not the "effective" focal length.

Selling a used lens

Well, I have used ebay successfully, but had a terrible experience with Marek Gut, who listed a 80-200 2.8 lens as like new. When I received the lens it was missing a screw on the barrel and did not manual focus. He refused to accept a return, but suggested I have it repaired so I sent the lens to Nikon for repair (~$300.00). When I asked for re-imbursement, he argued that it was too much so I escalated to ebay, who mandated a refund/return, so I was required to return the lens, now in like new condition and was reimbursed my purchase price only. I'm out $300+, he has a lens he can legitimately sell as "like new" for what I paid. (My purchase price was about market(ebay) for the lens/condition.
So, ebay some good, some bad. Maybe better to buy from KEH, sell on ebay and make some extra cash.
