Any camera that will record 30 minutes or more of video is taxed as a video camera at a 40% more than a still camera (which is technically capable of recording more) but is limited to 29 min 59 sec to retain it's "still camera" status. It's a tax thing:)
I use black velvet (doesn't need to be ironed either)
This shot is taken from the sea pointing to the land!!!! What you are mistakenly referring as the sea horizon is, in fact, a curved hilltop and will never be "level". Make your vertical lines vertical and you'll be O.K.
Can anyone here tell me if the Space Station rotates on it's own axis once every 8 seconds as it orbits the earth? If it doesn't, then what did I take photos of recently? Thanx
That horizon is a hilltop and isn't level (try looking at the verticals some time)
I've been using this lens for almost a year and it's now mounted at all times. I shoot county exhibitions (8 hrs ), live theater (10 hrs weekly), Car shows (3-4 hrs), portraits under very varied & poor lighting conditions so with ISO 5000 I get very nice low light shots. The closest focus is 18" which is almost macro.
As for weight, I don't find it too heavy ( I use 17" holster) but I wouldn't want it to be any heavier.I like the build too. After 55 years...I'm soo happy not to be changing (and haulin') all those lenses around:)
I'm using a Nikon 5300 BTW.
I use my Tripod as a monopod often by extending only 1 leg but I use a Velcro strap to bind all 3 legs together first so that the legs don't go flopping around when I'm rotating on one leg. Works well:)
I hate to be a 'contrarian' but your focus doesn't look very sharp to me
I got the Tamron 18-400 last year and have had it mounted almost constantly since then. I use it to shoot plays and rehearsals in vey varied lighting conditions. I'm very happy with the sharpness., colors and the high ISO's. Depends on how 'picky' you are.
Depends on my focal length. I find it confusing visually to see 18mm (or 400mm) viewfinder and 55mm naked eye at the same time. I use one eye open to focus.
What's the heaviest/longest lens that you're going to mount ?
Amfoto1, So you are not certain that it's a Gov project...but you are certain that it's my tax dollar at work. How does that reasoning work???
What size is the photo (as in what dimensions...in pixels)
