Looking for a cost effective tripod for a gimbal head any ideas appreciate also am using a 150- 600 tamron lens thanks
I've been using Zomei carbon fiber. I have many lens and I've trusted my Zomeis with every one. They have a hook built in for sand bags for counter weight. Pick up a Zomei and save some money.
All kidding aside, if you're just starting and have limited bucks, although the D3300 has some drawbacks but will give you a good introduction, Onse you've mastered that, then upgrade. I started out with the D3199 and now I use both a D5300 and a D7200. But if you have the bucks and are willing to put the time into it, I would go for the D7500. Very nice camera. Great for any type of photography
If you're just beginning, I would suggest the Nikon 5600 Then, when you are able to use the P S A M modes and have a complete understanding of shutter speed, f stops and ISO settings, I would spend the money for a Nikon D7200. Frankly, you could purchase a refurbished Nikon D3300 which has all the same features as the D5600. Save some money

I caught this guy at Corkscrew Sanctuary in Florida. I was 8 feet away and he was attuned to finding lunch. I took photos for fifteen minutes and he was still there after I left.
If you want to purchase a macro lens, the best macro lens would be a 105mm. Try KEH or other used camera equipment websites. Frankly, if you buy the correct attachments, you can turn your 18=55 mm into a macro by installing it on to the camera backwards. Another place to watch for lens is a pawn shop. I purchased a Nikon DX 18-200 mm auto focus for $190.00. When I got home, I looked up retail price of $996.00 AIf you choose to check out a pawn shop, take your camera with to try the lens before buying it. Some great deals can be had. Dosperros
Sounds like it's time to take some lithium
I purchased a Zomei carbon fiber tripod on Amazom for $129.00 Model Z699C. It does everything I need it to do. I did not have to spend a small fortune on a good tripod. Actually I liked it so well, I have one for my Nikon D5300 and for my D7200. Put your money into lens. Alot more payback
Capturing shadow and light
There are a multitude of books on basic photography. When I just started, there was a DVD course available from "The Great Courses" called the f
Fundamentals of Photography 1 and 2. They sell for under $100. The dvd's featured Joel Santore, a National George photographer. I believe they are still available. They take you through all basics and also some intermediate materiel. It was much more valuable following along with camera in hand. Judge for yourself.
Since Popular zPhotography has direct ties to the Mentor Series, does this also indicate the death of the Mentor program or are theyear self funded?
If they are shutting down, why do I get offers to renew at this time? I have heard they, they are not. What's up?
That is a keeper. Kudos to u!
