No offense taken!! Folks over there have a quirky sense of humor and do some things that we would never see in the States. For example, they take great delight in planting traffic cones on the heads of otherwise serious statues - Husband thinks it's a total lack of respect - I think it's hilarious!

I like that, A real Cone Head. It is hilarious.
The statue wasn't defaced or damaged so I can appreciate the humor. Thanks for the laugh.

If you are anything like me, it will come a'roaring at you at three in the morning.

Serious for the nonce, if it does come back, let us (me) know. I am always interesting knowing how other folks view things. Thanks.

I agreed about the crop until I downloaded and cropped it. Without the drummer you lose the fact that they are street performers and the guy by himself resembles more of a village idiot. Just my opinion and not meant to offend.

Texas A&M did a life cycle study on these critters. After spending several million dollars and three years, they determined that armadillos are born dead on the road.

I will be traveling through Louisana later this month and am interested in shooting landscapes, particularly the swamps. I lived in Lafayette, LA back in the 80's and have some familiarity with the area but have forgotten the locations where I used to photograph. Also, any recommendations on swap tour operators?

I would explore the possibilities around Henderson Just back East from Lafayette in the Atchafalaya Basin. Exit South from I-10 on 347 then turn left on 352 . It will end at Henderson Levee road. Go right and enjoy exploring the area. There are a few guide services in the area and some excellent places to over eat.
Check it out on Google or Bing maps to get a feel for the area..

Yes, timing is all.

That likely is a common blackbird; crows have black beaks.

I like it but the "Bling" on the belt dates it and takes away from the setting.
I kind of like the itchy trigger finger even though its not considered correct.

Good eye Blake, there is a new divisions in Bronc Riding that is catching on. It is called Ranch Ride. Starting to see more women and older riders riding this event since they don't have to buy special gear. The rodeo company is Circle P Rodeo.

Thanks for that information. It looks like it could get pretty exciting and I'm sure a few "Here, hold my beer and watch this"
I'm a big fan of the Ranch Rodeos and the Ranch Horse events too.
