Your images are sharp. They look a bit over processed. You might want to post the unprocessed image, so one can see w/o the post-production interference.

I am not sure what the pushback is about, it is not justified.

Great captures Doc.
Maybe share your sequence #4-#6 to the team so that the 2nd baseman can see that he needs to be aware of the where the lead hand will be and ready to swipe tag on the correct side. Runner would have been out!

Do not under any circumstances buy the Sandisk SSDs, especially the 4tb ones, especially their top of the line drives. They are known to fail abruptly. I thought that my photo SSD was backed up. I discovered that I was terribly wrong. This is the only time it has happened, and I am paying the price.
If I am lucky, very lucky, it may only cost me $1000.00 or so.
File Savers wanted $4500.00.
I’m an idiot. For now, avoid Sandisk.

You are not an idiot. Sandisk was a goto for a long time. We started hearing issues about certain drives and mfg dates around 1-2 years ago. When did you buy your 4TB drives? And, yes, I have switched to Samsung T7s.
Not all Sandisk drives are affected. Not easy to determine though.

I have a Mac that I just cannot get used to. I am going back to a Windows laptop. I am asking for help in which is best for photography, specifically. Especially how big space wise I should buy. I will be placing images on external hard drive but would still like to have a larger capacity laptop to hold edited images. I am interested in Dell or Lenovo.
If I decide to sell my Mac rather than give to a family member I will list on UHH.

Foto Jo,
You have received a lot of advice. Regardless of your set up, something does not make sense to me.
You will be using the external drive for images. I assume that you mean all your original images. These generally are called 'referenced' images when setting up your editing program. Makes sense.
But you want to have large internal storage for your edited images. This is confusing to me. Programs like LR and Capture 1 'save the edits' to your original image in a Catalog. Most keep this Catalog in the internal storage for faster retrieval and processing. These Catalogs take up a fraction of the space that the original files do on your external drive.
The only way to have your 'edited images' on your internal drive is then to export the edited images and store them on in this drive. The size of your original file all depends on your camera and set up. And then the final size of your edited image will be determined by your export set up. This can be voluminous-BIG.
My question is Why? If this is what you are doing, then WHY? Your edited/original images are already on your external drive coupled with the corresponding catalog(s). If you want to send edited pictures to someone, then export them how you want them to be viewed or printed-send them-and then delete them from you internal drive. Or save them into your PP software in a 'Folder', 'Smart Folder', or other format that is integral to your software.
There are reasons to have a large internal drive, but not for what your are requesting.
I find that a 1TB internal drive is enough for me for both work (non-photography) and photography. I have used 2TB Samsung and Sandisk external drives and have been transitioning to 4TB drives.
FWIW, I am working on a 2021 16" M1 MacBook Pro.

Do you intend to store edited images on your laptop?

Bootcamp will not run on Apple silicone. So that is no longer an option. You must install Parallels.
It seems as though the OP has a 'Mac OS Block'. Try giving it another go with someone who is familiar with the normal day to day functions of using a Mac. BTW..does the OP use an iPhone?

I want to thank everyone for their feedback which was helpful.
We are leaving early from Prague and stopping in Meissen on way to Berlin. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can spend a few hours enjoying the town, culture, and history. Then on to Berlin when we will be able to check into our hotel.

1. Export all the photos through an app that changes the name to include date and time into one folder with a meaningful name for both the image files and the folder name.
2. The OS will then see all the photos in chronological order. As long as all the cameras had been synchronized, the names will be chronological no matter how many cameras you used.
3. Triage, cull, postprocess to taste, export to a different folder (to avoid overwriting the originals).

That's the ticket! OP uses LR. Just import all originals into LR; select all, and export as above with name into the folder name. Et Voila@!
Now let's see if the OP actually does this? Can't wait.

Well there’s no viewer he’s gonna use to display these photos in their raw state. He’s gonna have to export first. And when he exports they will all be the same format, unless for some crazy reason he chooses different file types on export.

I agree. Let's start the workflow chart: (This presumes no RAW editing)
1. Export all the photos in one format (likely .jpg) with EXIF information intact--into one folder with 'Trip' ID.
2.

Everyone who has posted has provided valuable information. All good for how each of us does things.
OP has 1 Nikon, 1 Sony, and 1 iPhone, and wants to combine them all and view them in order of date and time.
Forget what any of us do with our workflow. It doesn't really help the OP.
First and foremost, even in a perfect world where his cameras are all properly synced to time-the OP still needs to export all photos to ONE FORMAT. They can rename and edit all they want, but Nikon's NEF, iPhone's HEIC, and Sony's ARW will all sort first by their file type, and by date/time by file type.
This doesn't help the OP view all their photos in time captured sequential order.
So, those of you who do have LR, can you specifically address how the OP can put everything into one folder for his trip and view all photos taken in the order requested?
