need some help understanding astismatism and how much it effects my image focus quality.
Shooting with Canon 7d MK ll & Canon 100-400 MK ll. Just ran the Focal Pro Calibration test with & without Canon 1.4 ll extender, results showed
normal Factor 1.3-3.8 my test measured 19.0
range Factor 1.2-3.3 my test measured 17.7

Is this really bad?
Not being a pixel peeper but I strive and love the sharpest image possible,
will I really notice any distortion with these test results?

If really bad can this be corrected? if so should Canon be the people to fix?

I have two old flash units: Canon 420EX and Sunpak auto433AF Thyristor for Canon. I have not used them for a long time but find now that they both have the same problem: I can snap-close the battery chamber doors for each if there are no batteries in the chamber. But if I place batteries in the chamber (4xAA's), the chamber door will not close and stay shut. I can hold the door closed and the flash will fire when triggered but the door on each unit will not stay closed on its own. I'd appreciate any ideas on how to fix this other than taping the doors closed.

I don't usually comment much , I just read and try to learn but I recently had to get new eyeglasses and when there my eye doctor asked "what did I do to my lenses?"
I hadn't noticed but my lenses had a strange hazing all over them . My eye doctor said it was due to me using the lens wipes on them everyday .
Now my glasses were about 19 months old but I was surprised by his remarks .
Since then I have stopped using the lens wipes . Not sure what to think but I do know my old glasses had a strange hazing all over , no scratches. You had to turn the glasses a certain way to see it .
