The page administrator contacted me just minutes after I posted this photo. I noted several hobbies represented in the photo; night photography, fly fishing, mountain biking, solo stove firepit and of course camping in my Hummingbird.

Thanks, everyone, for your replies. It looks like I'll need to find a place south of Effingham to sit and enjoy the eclipse. Don't know how much shooting I'll do, as I don't have a filter and can't afford to purchase one.

Here is a no cost alternative to a filter. I used this for the October annular eclipse, just partial here. I used a manila folder, cut hole slightly smaller than eclipse glass lens, tape together and shoot.

I had no ides you had such varied flora in the metro area. I was expecting wind blown sand, lifeless wind altered decaying juniper and something with numerous thorns. I'll check back tomorrow for my cenozoic satisfaction but feel quite amazed today with knowledge of the existence of plant life and water in your world.

I have every camera ever made, all set permanently to a specific f/stop or shutter speed. Of course, since there are different combinations of aperture and shutter speed I have 50 or so of each model camera to cover all the combinations. I just change cameras when the light changes or there is action to stop or blur. Much more convenient than fiddling around changing settings. I am now considering getting another 1,000 or so that I can cover more ISOs. I admit that I have missed a shot occasionally while rummaging around looking through the 300 semis that follow me everywhere carrying the cameras for the one with the right setting.

Does Lightroom have a module that can track cameras and which trailer they are stored in for instant access in the field?

Do you hire your semi drivers directly? I've never driven one and I've got terrible cataracts and can barely see but it sounds like a great gig. Would love to drive the truck with pin-hole or Kodak Brownies. Please keep me in mind

This is a hidden gem photo. Congratulations. I played with some crops to eliminate the upper left electrical service but the blue window structure justifies the inclusion. BTW, it could be the off-main street alley scene in our little town of 8000. Yesterday's newspaper reported a fight involving 10 or more people at that location. Good thing I'm the only person making the unflattering juxtaposition. Great capture.

Hey neighbor, can I borrow 2 pints of Makers Mark, I need it for a recipe I found online?
