Nice set of a beautiful, peaceful place. It's a long drive and a long hike but certainly worth it. The Barrier Panels are absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to your images of the Art Work.l

While in the Grand Junction area, check out the Colorado Nat'l Monument. Beautiful sandstone walls and wonderful scenery Lots of magic hour images available.

Also check out the Palisade wineries. There is some wonderful wines being produce in this area.

There are some great shots here. I've never been able to get that close. Most of my shots are with a long lens and tripod.

Greymule,
I really enjoy your photos. However, having lived in Granby for 13 years, this looks like Shadow Mountain Reservoir.

Cindy.
I captured a sunrise from basically the same area several years ago. I'll post one of these days.

jederick,
Several years ago, while stopped in construction, I took some pictures of this little town. Never found out much about it. Thanks for the information and some better pictures. Mine weren't very good.

This is sort of a narrow question and probably late for this year, but, based on your actual experience, What was your best photo trip for fall color, preferably with a number of impressive waterfalls?

Two years ago I did the Watkins Glen, New York area.
Last year I did the Ricketts Glen, Pennsylvania area.

This year I am booked for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I want to plan ahead for future years.

Thank you.

I really like the San Juans south of Ouray, CO. and the Grand Mesa east of Grand Junction, CO.
Beautiful colors every year.

I own the Panasonic Lumix ZS-100 and I really enjoy using this camera. I think that it deserves a look.

I just purchased the DMC ZS-100 which was recommended by many UHH'ers and just love the camera. Does what I wanted and so much more. Larry..

Great - lots of suggestions and good information. I believe, given the depth of my pockets, both figuratively and literally, the Panasonic series are looking good. Thank you to all who contributed, I appreciate your views..Larry

Thanks to all: Some good information. Yep, I have a lot to think about but I am getting in narrowed down quite at bit. Looking seriously at the Panasonic Lumix DSC DZ100. View finders are a bit rare in recent years. Again thanx to, you helped a bunch...

If you can find one, look for my favorite - Panasonic LF-1 or its co-branded equivalent the Leica C Type 112

Thanks, I'll try looking for it. I sure need something..

Recently I lost the use of my Nikon E5600. I used it for at least getting the shot when I didn't have my larger Nikons. I need something smaller so I can put it in my pocket. I would like to get one with a view finder. I find it very difficult to get the composition I want by just using the LED screen. I tried to use the Nikon W300 but, without the viewfinder, I found it difficult to use, Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Larry
