Another source of info is KEH.com. Classics in confirmed working condition, as PixelStan77 noted, have value. But, mass market cameras will not. A few other examples, Canon AE1s are worth about $75. A Canon F1 is worth about $125. A Canon Rebel G can't be given away even if you pay the postage.

I have to echo the comment on the Rebel G. I tell myself I quintuple the value whenever I put a battery and roll of film in mine. I do have a soft spot for it - light as a feather and quite quiet.

At first glance, I thought she was holding a hornet's nest! Yikes!

Not sure about this. I agree it would be commercial if used to advertise a product, but just the image itself? Might be the same as any street photo, but you might have to address whether the venue is public.

I fell victim to the great deal that Canon runs on the Pro 100. It does have a good quality output, but I just don't use it very much. I'll second Ralph on this - it is BIG! I do have the room for it, and I don't have to feed it, but it is THERE every day. When I drop dead, some relative of mine will mutter some choice words (don't even mention the 4X5 Omega enlarger in the spare bedroom).

I'd think twice or three times before I went for this deal. I wish I had settled for a 9000 series instead.

Perhaps we should look at this as supporting the people who work for the US distribution of the product.

If you can stay out of the wind, you might be surprised by what can work with a 4X5. Tiltalls were used for decades.

The points of interest with the Intrepid is compact folded size and light weight. While usable for her intended needs, I might want the geared movements of a regular view camera for food or architectural stuff. I own an earlier version (haven't used it yet - long story..) and have previously used a Deardorff which only had geared focus over what this model offers.

I spend time several times a week with a Border Collie. I think she might feel this way. She probably also thinks that she is aiding my general health by requiring me to repeatedly bend over to get the ball. I swear the dog is smarter than I am.

Do not throw it out! There is a whole universe of people out there that enjoy using expired film!

Nikon compiled this AF module reference table. This is just part of it. See the entire list here:

Thanks for posting this CO. I can see how someone might choose a D500 for better low light autofocus vs other full frame models!

I recently had my 2 beloved Nikon Fs stolen in a home burglary (also losing my D800 and several lenses). Because I upgraded both (in the early '70s) to FTn status (through-the-lens-metering) I have the original viewfinders. (see pix). The more complicated one has a metering system in it (requiring a battery, which may be hard to find), which includes aperture and ASA selector dials. (It comes in its own leather case.)

But, that's not all! I've also got a Nikkor 28 MM F/3.5 wide-angle lens in ITS own leather case, plus UV and polarizing filters that fit that lens. Everything is in immaculate condition, as they belonged to my dad, who took very good care of his gear. I'd love the think that they could be put to use again.

You can have them all for $100 plus shipping. PM me if interested. Personal check or PayPal (better) accepted.

Nice price for the stuff! Those plain prisms hold their value exceptionally well. Not only are they a bit lighter in weight, they at least seem to be brighter than the metered versions.

I have a Leica M8 camera with original 2.004 firmware. When I try to download the later firmware to my computer Script Editor says it can't read the script. Tried several times, same result. Any suggestions?

Are you following these instructions?
https://lhsa.org/document_library/Instruction%20Firmware%20Update%20M8_M9_MM_ME_en%20(1).pdf ?

I had no problem downloading the file - I didn't need to unzip it either - it downloaded as .upd file. If I tried to open the file by clicking on it, I was asked for a program to open it with. I don't think you need to open it on the computer, just save it to the card as the instructions state.

Disclaimer - No, I do not own a Leica M8 - sure wish I did though! Take this for what it's worth.

Might be single coated. Low lens element count helps - I have an uncoated large format lens (Artar) that works very well.
