I just read an article about photographing fireworks on Nikon school. Can't recall exactly what it said but it did mention that pulling stills from video was possible. Look kit up on Nikon's website. They can give you step by step instructions.
When I read the title I thought you were talking about pot. Beautiful photos, though.
I take pictures of my kids mostly, too. The best pictures your gonna get are usually the ones that are taken outside. I have a d610 with a 35-70 2.8 , 80-200 2.8 and a few primes and I still like the outdoor pictures better. Natural light is amazing especially later in the day or on cloudy days and the shutter speeds are much faster allowing you to freeze the motion. Even with my big lenses I get motion blur indoors. I started with the d3200 and 2 kit lenses and that setup worked very well for what I wanted. I'm just a tech junky so I had to save all my pennies and get the good stuff.

See if you can find a cover for it to possibly prevent it from happening again if you get another printer.
That's a great idea. I've baby-proofed the rest of my house, why not my own valuables? Little stinker is too smart for his own good.
Thanks all for the advice. Looks like there's a pro 100 in my future :)
My 2 year old has a thing for putting his toys and other foreign objects in the openings if my Canon pixma ix6800. Now everything I print is green! I use aftermarket ink and I've had the printer a little over a year. Is there anything I can do to fix it or am I forced to upgrade to the pixma pro 100? Keep in mind I'm a single mom of 2 so, as much as I would love to just buy a new one, money's tight and I already spend way too much on this hobby.
Precious. I love children. My children are pretty much all I photograph. Nice shots too.

I read somewhere that he/she doesn't "feel' like a woman anymore! As far as I am concerned anyone with an X and a Y chromosome is a male regardless of accoutrement.
Agreed. Someone needs to tell him that all women don't feel like being women anymore, but we still are. You don't get to switch genders every season. It's not a fashion statement and it's really not a choice. You are what you are.

Is that Bruce Jenner?
I believe he likes to be called Caitlyn Jenner these days.
