I was at the petrified forest a couple weeks back and took this picture. It has only been converted to .jpg. It was taken with my Nikon D7200 with a Tamron SP 70-300 F/4-5.6 at 110mm ISO 800 F/16 @1/160. It was a sunny hot day and I was actually just trying to see how the camera and lens would do. I haven't thrown it through Light Room and PS.

Any ideas or tweaks would be fun to see.

I love black and white. I think for me it reminds me of when I was young and taking pictures. I love taking tweaking them and playing with them. Either now in PS or years ago in the dark room.

I have a 7200 and really wanted to see the answer to your question. I set up my tripod inside and out. Took several pictures and different sizes and conditions. Larger is better but if you do any post processing. RAW . Just plain and simple.

I also do shoot some local soccer matches and I do .jpg because of the faster buffer.

I moved from the D90 to the 7200.. Both are great cameras but I really like the 7200. They have the same "feel" to them so you will feel right at home.

Berry College in Rome, GA has had an eagle nest on the campus for 4-5 years and the birds have become celebrities in their own right. These are pictures of MA Berry who was take a break from egg duty in a tree nest to the parking lot. There were several of us shooting and she stayed on her perch for about 20 minutes. We were about 30' below and another 50 feet away. The pix were taken with a Canon 5DIII and the Sigma 150-600 using shutter priority at 1/1600, ISO auto, and f8. These images are cropped to about 20% if the original image and sharpened and noise reduced in NIK.
These are my first eagle posts and any advice on processing would be appreciated.

I have both.. I use both. I purchased the 7200 because of the buffer size. Funny thing is I really like both cameras and carry both with me. I can say that there is a big difference in how quickly I can fire off RAW photos on the 7200 vs the D90 but honestly is it worth the difference. Really depends on what your needs are.

Very Cool!!... I'm a Nikon person mainly because of button placement but I do love the 7D MarkII. That is an excellent camera and can't wait to see the pics you post!..

I'm guessing you haven't used Windows then since XP. Vista introduced us to that wonderful thing called User Access Control where it asks multiple times if you're sure you want to do something, all in the name of security. So Windows is no different than Mac there. No BSODs in 3 versions? I almost laughed when I read that. I switched to Mac for personal use after getting tired of every other version being flawed. For work, I still use a Windows machine and have had BSODs on every computer for the last 10 years. When I used Windows at home, I also had BSODs at least once on every computer since 1995.

Actually you can turn all that off so it won't ask you. Most of Windows problems usually aren't because of the OS ..it is a third partpy problem. I am running Windows 10 and haven't had a single issue. Now my Windows pc is a Dell bought from the MS store so it has not bloat ware and only Windows10. Runs perfectly. A friend has the same laptop but bought it from another store and it is loaded with bloat ware. His always has issues.

I run Several different OS's on different machines. All have their own issues.

I have my D90 and my 7200 and really like both of them. I'll keep my D90 till it dies. Still a great camera. On the other hand I still have my FE-2..!
