window light, el natural is most flattering & always best. Reflectors of natural light. Second to that I would recommend lamps that stay cool. Soft boxes, umbrellas or you may try the NEW Gray Fong reflector for your flash. I would want to give mood & directional lighting. You will need to try variations to get the mood & look YOUR happy with as well as your client.

iso increase will add more light & use of a unipod or tripod. as we get older we shake even if we dont think so. Practice, go to other low light locations or show up at a church with a wedding sit out of the way & get to know exactly whhat your camera will do.

It's nice to put your name or company name on your pics. Techically anything you take as yours you own the copyright BUT word to the wise if you dont make the copyright imprint or co. name large enogh or across the middle you photo can be stolen right of the net. Today camera & tech savey ppl can STEAL your image & alter it as THEIR Own. Just a word to the wise....

Cannon Rebel is an excellant choice. Cannon's & Nikons are best. comes to personal choice. Research: what is your line of work? what do u plan to shoot? You cant rule out Olympus, Fuji either. Alot comes down to cost. I just picked up a NEW Nikon 14.0 megapixel L120. & I'm very happy with it. But I also have Nikon N70 & N80. My sister on the other hand shoot Cannon Rebel's & swears by it.

Practice all you can before hand know exactly what the camera & lens will do. Try diff angles. Also practice changing iso settings to allow more light in as it gets darker BUT watch for excessive noise (Grain) also try changing some prints to B&W (this is very popular) Good Luck. Get a star filter & play with that too beforehand. Makes those candle shots impressive.

I use smug mug & they post directly to my work. IF you dont apply the mark across the middle of your work it can be taken. Cameras are so good ppl can steal your images as their own.
