Which internet provider do you have? Spectrum never gets 100Mbps upload.

Do any of you have an Insta360 X3 camera that you were able to activate via cell phone? If so, what make and model phone worked?

Thanks.

You can't install the app with your cell phone? I think I read somewhere that the phone should be newer than 2016 and your phones are.

It looks just like a battery that also tells the time.

As unconcievable as it is in this day and time, I actually have a watch that doesn't need a battery.

Not only that it needs a relatively large battery to run I think the battery won't last for a day.

When you mistakenly press <Last>>> instead of <Next>> when navigating the Main Discussion section, you end up responding to an irrelevant thread from 2011. Consider being more careful in your navigation, as well reading both the author and the post-date of the thread before responding.

So that is how these threads got revived? I kept wondering how it happened.

I have 16MP camera and as long as I don't crop (or crop very little) I am fine. No problem.

Cell phone access should be available everywhere on earth. There are many thousands of satellites orbiting the earth. If they can justify the expense of those satellites, they can justify lifesaving cell phone satellites.

You would need satellite phone.

I would suggest you to ask someone who lives in Portugal.

But does everyone have the latest phone? If cell phones cost $100, I'd buy a new one more often. The new Samsung starts at $800, same with the iPhone. That a major investment. My phones date from 2018 and 2021. If I spend $800 so I can use this $450 camera, will I have to buy another $800 phone next year to activate something else?

In my case, the phone is essential for simply getting the camera to work. I don't care about operating the camera with the phone. It's the same with my router and modem. The phone was necessary to set them up. Security cameras are the same - set up with a cell phone.
But does everyone have the latest phone? If cell ... (show quote)

Yes and since they are only needed for setting up a PC app would be a much better way. Even if you have to use your big red it shouldn't matter if you only have to do it once.

Haha - Last time I needed a bootable disk it was on a 3-1/2" floppy, way before the existence of CDs.
For DOS. We just called it a boot disk.

Yeah I have plenty of them still. Even in 5.25" although I don't have a drive.

I don't think so, but I haven't used it since. Maybe I'll try it today.

If it tried to install when you running it last it should be running Windows 11 now unless the installation failed.

I have Dell machine .... thanks

Since I don't use Dell so I don't have the disks. But all Dell came with the disks and many just throw them away. A typical IT dept of a company would have tons of these so I think they sell a lot of them on Ebay. I have the HP disks because I got them from the IT dept.

What's an ISO file?

It's a disk image of a CD or DVD. They call it ISO because it conforms to the ISO 9660 standard.

Does your computer have a license for Win7? What brand is it?

I have a number of Win7 Pro DVD but they are for HP computers that came with Windows 7 originally. They won't work on other brands or even HP if the computer didn't originally come with Windows 7

I also thought that the Lens contact, could be the error.

Canon T uses FD lenses and they don't have contacts. Besides the OP fixed his T90.
