i am just an amateur photographer. I liked all three. What struck me was how much the barn looked like our family barn. When I saw you are in a Michigan I had to comment. Our farm was in Michigan. Our barn also had a basement and it was our milking parlor with stanchions. After we moved in 68, I doubt the barn was used again. The last time I was there it looked a lot like your picture. Sad very sad to see such structures fading away. Thanks for the memories.
Yes they are terrible creatures. We lived in Texas for 3 years. I was bitten in 1983 and the only thing that saved me was living 1.5 miles from hospital. My BP was 50/0 but epinephrine is a miracle substance and I lived. We moved. I carry epinephrine all the time as I can be allergic now to bees.
They are hard to kill. I worked for a pesticide company and there was exhausted research being done all the time to try and get rid of them. One of the products was made with cornmeal. It was only the delivery system mixed with an insecticide. There is a fly/moth from where the “fire ant” is originally from that kills them. This insect is not native to the US just as the “fire ant” was not.
Be very vigilant as humans can become allergic to things any time.
We have stayed there. Beautiful area! We also got double rainbow shots like yours. I do love New Mexico!
Being a Michigander who lives elsewhere now, these pictures bring back memories of family trips to the UP. Absolutely awesome shots!
Awesome shots! He does put on a good concert!
I should know them all but sadly no. Though the next to last picture looks like Tommy Shaw of Styx fame. The rest in that picture I don't recognize.
I am just down the road, 141/44 is my regular way to work. Not this week. I didn't take pictures this time. We don't flood just inconvenienced. Great pictures!
