This Rivoli's Hummingbird was nice enough to pose for us for a few minutes last spring in Madera Canyon, Arizona. The birding is extraordinary in this area of Arizona! Happy Thanksgiving!
Last June we were privileged to be in Summit County Colorado at sunset when this storm cloud appeared over FairPlay, Colorado. The local meteorologist explained the next day it was a single mushroom storm cloud meaning it was really about the only cloud formation in the sky at the time. The winds in the cloud were uplifting and the winds aloft were light allowing the cloud to spread out as it got higher into the mushroom. Definitely something I have not seen before!
I save the alcohol for when my photos don’t turn out as good as I thought they would. I drink a lot!
Nice! The camera definitely found a good home!
You can email me your address and I will send it to you. My email is englemanbarry@gmail.com
My well used SX60 just had a “lens error” which I was unable to fix so I opted for a new camera. If someone would like the old camera for parts or whatever, I would be happy to send it to them rather than just trash it.
We are in our 10th year of full timing. Record number of campgrounds in one year was 117. We have averaged 90 campgrounds per year. We are down to 47 this year but it has been a great way to dodge COVID...just find out where COVID is not a big problem and head on down that road!
Well they could act a little happier to see you! Good shots. Love these guys!
We were at Whitewater Draw the end of February in our motor home. Great place! Nice shot of the Vermillion! We may have seen the same one. Did you see the Bendire’s Thrashers that we’re there?
Love the easy hike out to the Fire Wave area! Nice shots on a stormy day.
The only time a man will ever be correct!
Beautiful shots but not all are Monument Valley. The second one is Spider Rock in Canyon de Chelly and I think the petroglyph is from Canyon de Chelly also.
I totally agree...the photo needs to be nothing more than the water, the grebe and the water. Take the "stuff" out.
And you have with those nice shots!
Nice catch! Interesting...they seem to sit on branches in pairs a lot. Now I know one reason why. Love these birds also!
