The screen is designed to turn off when you put your face to the viewfinder. A shadow will do on a sunny day. I have my Sony rear screen turned off due to battery drain. The only time it comes on is when I push the review button.
You have several options on the screen in the menu. You should look at it.

billnikon is correct. There is nothing wrong with your camera, it is doing what it was designed to do unless you change it in the menu.

Ask what restrictions the officiant has for photography during the ceremony (i.e. don't stand behind them, etc.).

From my experience as a certified Hospice Caregiver I would have to say that the vast majority of men who I've been with until death the most important thing they do FOR THEMSELVES is to tell me what they have done over a lifetime. They gain solace by doing that knowing someone has all that info and therefore it is a living remembrance of their lives.

In case anyone doesn't know about being eligible for Hospice's palliative care, it means a person has six months or less to live.

Hospice does not necessarily mean 6 months or less. At times it means the Dr's can do not do anything more to improve the condition. That is my situation. I am in hospice care but after almost 4 months of hospice, I am able to many things, including driving. Hospice can be an indefinite amount of time if needed. It is possible to graduate from hospice meaning you have improved to the point that you do not need hospice care.

Being in the situation that OP is asking about, it is my goal to visit places to photograph that are close (within 3 hours). Although I need to give consideration to the activity and recovery time. When I do something that is bucket list-worthy I then put that on my bucket list this way I will have completed all things on my bucket list. I would like to the definitive photo evidence of bigfoot.

Sony has designed IS to work with OSS. You can have both on when using a tripod without any trouble. One is good, but both working together is better.

Sony makes the sensors for most all cell phones and Nikon buys sensors from Sony.

Lighting, natural or added artificial, creates the mood and emotion of the image. The lighting draws the viewers' attention to certain aspects of the image. This includes areas in shadows/dark areas of the image.

I have also used amazon photos for file sharing and have noticed the shared images are not as sharp when viewing them from the link provided by amazon but if you download the images then they are as sharp when viewed on my laptop. It's similar to downloading images from this site (UHH) ... images are sharper after downloading them.

My experience is the same as DavidM describes.

All the information for the RAW or jpeg is stored by Amazon and is not lost when downloaded.

What AF lenses do you have? I would be interested.

When I started with Amazon Photo Storage they did not show any RAW images. However, in the last 18 months, they now show my Sony RAW images. Even though they did not show the RAW image, they still stored the RAW information.

Use a circular polarizing filter, it is a must in aquariums. f5.6 should give enough DOF. 1.4, 1.8, 2.8 don't give you enough DOF and will cause focusing issues. Shutter speed at 250 or higher. High ISO, 6400 will allow you to get the fast shutter speed. Use auto WB as there is mixed lighting, trust the camera. As for a lens I am usually at 35mm - 50mm. I use a 24-105 lens because at times I want a little more reach. A rubber hood is helpful as it will keep some unwanted light from hitting the lens.

In answer to the OP...NO! The crop has to do with what you see. There no possible way that a sensor can increase focal length. Misleading statements about the crop factor are usually made as a selling point by less honest camera sellers.

Each area of the Oregon coast offers different opportunities for photographers. There are lighthouses, rock formations, tide pools, and other scenery depending on how long you have and what you like to photograph. some areas offer hiking of various difficulties. The northern Oregon coast (Astoria to Lincoln City), the central Oregon coast (Lincoln City to Florence) and the southern Oregon coast (Florence to Brooking), all offer great things and could take several days to experience. I know I have not been specific, but if you could give your starting point and how many days you have total. Over 400 miles of the Oregon coast is a lot of area to cover in a few days.

Mo's is overrated and I would not recommend it. There are much better places to eat on the Oregon coast.

If you put the 36mm Et on the 40mm then your focus point is inside the lens and it will be unable to focus. ET's do not work well on zoom lenses if they do you have to be at full zoom length. The 105mm lens should be able to use any of the three ET's.

another thing to consider is the since ET's reduce focal length and DOF, is your aperture at 16mm? That is the most useful aperture I have found when using ET's.
