Thank You for the kind remarks Joe! A women's work never ends you know!

We have a brook running through our property and it is always beautiful this time of year.
I love the brook pics. Autumn's beauty reflected in the stream.

Just wonderful and so good to see you.
Thanks so much Pat. I haven't had much time with the camera lately. But if I can get all the things I described done in the next few days, hopefully there will be more time for the camera!

Autumn is about natures last explosion of color for the season
Wonderful views Steve. I particularly like the covered bridge photo.
Joe, thanks for hosting a wonderful challenge. Wow, you all have submitted magnificent photos of fall in your area and what fall means to you. Thanks so much for sharing!
Fall and what it means to me. It means I managed to survive 3/4 of the year, through winters cold, springs beauty, and summers sweltering heat. It also means cooler temps, bon fires, smores, weinny roasts, hot chocolate and candy corn. Ghosts and goblins will soon be knocking at the door. So, now it's time to put away summer yard ornaments, mow for the last time of the year, and vacuum up leaves for the compost and clean up the fence line. It's also a reminder that winter's blast (which I absolutely dread) is just a mere few weeks away.
Pick the remaining tomatoes and peppers in my tiny garden. Prepare the soil for the next year's plants.

Time to store birdbaths and fountains for the winter.

Sadly, it's time to take down the hummingbird feeders and store till next spring.

Clean & store the last remaining fountain before the freeze of winter.

Bring in the plants before freezing temps hit my area.

And lastly, enjoy the only tree in town turning color.

Thanks for the challenge, jj. This should bring out some inspiring wierdos for us all to enjoy.
Need to get things fixed up around here.
I had to do a double take on the last one Larry! Loved it! The sound of music can't be all that bad!
Here you go Larry! This one's for you!
This lovely mosquito catcher just flew in for a visit. He was quite patient as I walked up on him.

We are still away. Have wifi for a bit. Maine is officially in severe drought - coast and southern Maine. It has been over 90 for days no relief in sight and not every place has AC. We are at a lake where the water is no longer refreshing, but itโs wet and a little breeze at waters edge. Feels good. Nothing spectacular to show as most are on my other cameras. (I know the horizons arenโt straight. Iโll eventually fix that)
Beautiful shots Pat. Try to stay cool and enjoy the last of your vacation! SE Kansas has been in the upper 90's with index's around 105 for several weeks now. I think we're expecting cooler weather sometime next week. WooHoo!

Thanks. Sunny. The story goes, as we were told anyway, when the Dutch established themselves there and the Governor was appointed. He declared that bright white paint could not be used on any buildings there. He had a problem with his vision that the bright Caribbean sunlight created for him reflecting especially off white buildings. Story also goes that he had the only store licensed to sell paint on the island.๐๐โผ๏ธ
Thanks for sharing the story Larry!

I have noticed that as I convert to black and white images that yellow turns to white most readily.
The last one with the butterfly is my favorite.
