Nice shots. I dig the black and white. How are you liking the 16mm fisheye?

Haf that happen to another lens of mine. Find a nikon rep close or send it in to be fixed. I wouldnt think it would run too much comparitbly speaking if they can fix it

My question is why referb. Are you really saving that much money on a body that no one else has ever used? I shot the d7000 for three years before stepping up to full frame. Im sure the d7100 will do great and be an awesome upgrade for you.

THAT's a big deal. Learning a new platform is no easy task.

Yeah but i still use windows 7. So either get used to windows 8 (totally different ) or another platform.

This is sort of like Nikon vs Canon. Comes down to personal preference.

I've been using a Mac since '97 and wouldn't switch to a PC unless I was paid to do so...and even then I would kick and scream. My current set up is a 2.4ghz i7 15" Macbook Pro with 16GB ram and a second monitor attached. I wish it had an SSD drive, but at the time of purchase, two years ago, they were way too expensive (it has a 750GB hard drive). I also have 2 external drives (1TB and 2TB Western Digital).

If you do go down the mac road (and you should) make sure you max the RAM upon purchase.

What other things will you be using this computer for? Are you looking for a desktop or laptop? What program(s) will you be using to edit (I suggest LR).
This is sort of like Nikon vs Canon. Comes down to... (show quote)

Im lookimg for laptop. And i use LR 5 for editing. The program has been awesome on the pc. I was wondering what the difference was if any besides price

PC is cheaper, more flexible with more apps and hardware choices. Mac is more expensive, but some say, more user friendly. It's sorta like the Nikon / Canon argument. Both platforms are awesome so get what suits your personal tastes.

Thats the same answer ive gotten quit a bit. I reckon now pc basically does the same as a mac with the programs and is cheaper. Plus im use to using a pc. Thanks for the insight

I currently use a pc to edit photos. I am looking into updating my system. I have been told that both are best from different angles. Any information would be helpful.

I'm very leery of tripods unless I'm standing next to it.

Yes absolutely. ...but it wasnt the tripod that scared me the most. It was decending down the cliff to obtain the shot of the water fall...pretty sketchy.

For that bottom shot, I don't think I'd want to be that far away from the camera, especially with water nearby. Enjoy it!

Yeah i was freaking a little but i had the tripod tied down to some rocks and pinned in place
