I'm NOT going to get into all the bashing and slashing of "Old Soldiers" or Vet's, I''m one myself..... Now back to the topic...! I'm a Canon user, my EOS 30D had a 2GB CF card in it when I bought it, enough to get started or get by with for then/now. However, I ran out 1 day and wanted larger CF card. going to Walmart was a trip, they wanted $40.00 for an 8GB CF card. Back home I got on the Internet and Googled CF cards, yeah tons of results, but one caught my eye: "Pixelflash".... I went to the site and live chatted with a sale rep. To make a long story short, I bought 2- 4GB 300X(speed) for $14.98 each plus shipping. They both Formatted in seconds, and give great results. I kept the 2GB card as a spare/backup, always carry your CF Cards in holders/cases....not loose where they'll collect dust/dirt/etc. in the PIN holes......

Nope, no Data or Price vs. Quality.... However, experience is the best Teacher and a lot of crap posted on YouTube is.... well, just crap....!
in my Opinion..... Actually its the buyers choice to purchase whatever he/she see's fit to use with all the options available in Camera shops or on the Internet.... It's like Canon vs. Nikon, Ford vs. Chevy..... same difference......

In my opinion, "Tiffen"(brand) Filters are the best quality for the best price. If you can find them locally, that's cool, if not look on-line by entering "Tiffen Filter" in Google search box, then hit enter/search. I got mine from Abes of Maine in NY... https://www.abesofmaine.com they have a huge assortment.......

You think that's crazy..? According to a recent article I read about Noah's time, Nephilim's (Giants) were upon the Earth, Bad/Indifferent Angles (sons of God) cast from haven, Like Micheal (Satan). These Son's of God looked down upon the Earth and saw Daughters of men, their beauty was impeccable, so they descended to Earth and took the Daughters of man to be their wives, about 200 of them. The daughters of Man bore siblings (of course) and they're referred to in the Bible, in several Chapters/Verses. God saw what had been done, and it lead to more reasons to flood the Earth, (sin). Yet upon the Nephilim's disagreement with God's Flooding of the Earth, God Allowed 10% of the Nephilim's to survive the flood, being Giants and moving to higher grounds. This article claims that these descendants of the Nephilim's and the Daughters of Man could very well be what we all now know today as Sasquatch or Big Foot.....!

Sent to me from my granddaughter this evening. Good American people who have had enough.

The parents of a Navy SEAL Team Six member has just simply had it with President Obama. Billy and Karen Vaughn are the parents of Aaron Vaughn, a Navy SEAL Team Six member who perished when his Chinook helicopter was shot down over Afghanistan in 2011. While the Vaughns continue to struggle with the loss of their son, the “breaking point” that compelled them to author a letter to President Obama was the beheading of American journalist James Foley and the complete lack of leadership demonstrated by the president in the aftermath of the brutal killing.

This letter has gone viral and is as popular as it is scathing. The Vaughns appear to be thoroughly fed-up with the President’s lack of leadership on foreign policy issues and they pull no punches as they demand his resignation.

“As Commander-in-Chief, your actions — or lack thereof — Mr. President, cost lives. As you bumble about in your golf cart, slapping on a happy face and fist-pounding your buddies, your cowardly lack of leadership has left a gaping hole — not only in America’s security — but the security of the entire globe. Your message has come across loud and clear, sir: You are not up to this job. You know it. We know it. The world knows it.

Please vacate the people’s house and allow a man or woman of courage and substance to seize the reigns of this out-of-control thug-fest and regain the balance we, America, have provided throughout our great history.”

The Vaughns claim it was Obama’s complete lack of decisive action in the aftermath of Foley’s execution that compelled them to demand his resignation.

“After finally choosing to view the barbaric, on-camera beheading by ISIS of freelance war correspondent James Foley, I have been left with a level of rage known only to those of us who have sacrificed unspeakable offerings on the altar of world peace.”

They even took note of the Obamas’ apparent lack of respect for the nation that has allowed them to prosper.

“Thanks to your ‘leadership’ from whatever multi-million dollar vacation you happen to be on at any given moment, the world is in chaos. What’s been gained, you’ve lost. What’s been lost, you’ve decimated. You’ve demolished our ability to hold the trust of allies. You’ve made a mockery of the title ‘President.’ And you’ve betrayed the nation for which my son and over 1.3 million others have sacrificed their very lives.

But this should come as no surprise, since your wife uttered a vile statement on Feb. 18, 2008, during the primary campaign — one that speaks volumes of your true convictions. ‘For the first time in my adult life, I am really proud of my country,’ she said.

I am sure my deceased son thanks you for that, Mrs. Obama. Oh, and you’re welcome.”

The letter concludes with a brutal point-by-point of Obama’s most-egregious national security and foreign policy failings:

“Never in my lifetime have I witnessed such despair and such growing fear that the world’s last best hope, America, has finally been dismantled. Perhaps the better word is transformed — fundamentally transformed. Come to think of it, it’s become difficult — if not impossible — to believe things haven’t gone exactly as you planned, Mr. President.

Amazingly, in five short years, your administration has lurched from one disaster to another. You spearheaded the ambitious rush to end the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan — with no plan on how to do so effectively. Also, the release of ‘the Taliban five’ in exchange for one American — without consulting Congress — is also on your shoulders.

You have been at the helm during unprecedented national security leaks — including, but not limited to the outing of SEAL Team VI on the Bin laden raid, the outing of the Pakistani doctor who provided the intelligence for that raid, the outing of Afghanistan’s CIA station chief, and the outing of your personal ‘kill list’ to make you look tough. In addition, 75 percent of American deaths in Afghanistan and 83 percent of Americans-wounded-in-action have occurred on your watch, according to icasualties.org.

And now, we have this recent, heinous event: the beheading of an American citizen by a barbaric organization you foolishly referred to as ‘the JV team’ in your statements to the New Yorker magazine in January.

You, sir, are the JV team. It’s time for you to step down and allow a true leader to restore our honor and protect our sons and daughters.

America has always been exceptional. And she will be again. You, Mr. President, are a bump in our road.”

This letter will likely be written-off with a shrug by the Obama Administration who continually refuse to accept criticism for their pitiful leadership.

Nonetheless, bravo to the Vaughns for their willingness to stand up for America in such an honest fashion. Their son, Aaron, was a true American patriot and this nation owes him and men and women like him a significant debt of gratitude.

It appears we owe Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn a debt as well for having used this opportunity to shine such a direct light on the abuses by Barack Obama.

Canon vs Nikon, Nikon vs Canon:
Which is better..? Well its like "Ford" vs "Chevy"..... same analogy.. Reading some of the questions/answers here with no definitive results, I did some research at Wikipedia.
Canon (Kwanon) Tokyo, Japan Origin 1934 introduced Japan's 1st 35mm Camera. In its early years (Canon) Canon facilities could not produce/manufacture their own Optical Glass, and its 1st Camera incorporated Nikkon Lenses (later Nikon Corp.)
Canon manufactures hundreds of other devices besides Cameras.

Nikon (Naikon) of Tokyo, Japan founded in July 25, 1917 as Japan's Optical Industries. The 1st branded Nikon Camera was released in 1948. Nikon also manufactures hundreds of other devices besides Camera's. Optics like binoculars, microscopes, lenses, semi-conductors, the list goes on... including work for NASA Space-Shuttle devices.

Without laboratory testing of the two's similar devices in the same environmental settings and so-called benchmarks recorded, its hard to compare both manufactures. It's all a matter of choice, myself, I've used Canon since 1972.... it fit my budget as where the Leica was out of the question..
My only advice is to visit a Camera Shop(if there's any left) and examine the different features of each brand on similar Camera's. Depending on your "tastes" and type of Photography you wish to do, the choice is yours and yours alone.... Beware, some shops will try to sell you the "Brooklyn Bridge" so do some research in advance and pretty much know a little about what your seeking in a Camera.....

Hello Everyone;
I'm James, a Newbie here... just signed up this morning. I'm originally from Massachusetts now living in New Mexico. In 1972 I was awarded an Associates Degree(2 year) in Professional Photography. I was never able to land a job in that field yet I retained the skills and used them in my own personal Photography ventures. Today with all the Digital equipment, things have changed immensely since the days of 35mm Film. Yet the practices, most of the Basics and Techniques have remained the same. No more requirements for a Photography "Darkroom" which I could never afford anyway. With Digital, if you shoot RAW, you get to develop your own pics on a PC with Photo Editing Software. This is something that I have to learn about on my own as I wander through all the pages of info on the "Internet" learning new skills, techniques, High-Dynamic Range, etc..... on Processing RAW Images. At 64 years old, they say its hard to teach an old dawg new tricks, but if you love Photography like I do.... your interests just keep on growing..... =)
