Taken before work a few days back.

Very nice indeed! If not too much trouble, could you include camera settings for your night shots? I am always interested in the settings when offered.

Ted

Yesterday I went to Pearl Harbor because on of the Navy’s newest amphibious landing craft ships the “BOXER” was in port .., with a deck full of Osprey and Jump Jets ...as well as large hover craft down below .. I wanted to take some pics of her as this was a rare port calling ..

Those pics will be posted later .., as part of my tour I of course went to the Arizona Memorial and it was there , with tears streaming down my face , I took the shot you see.

I get very emotional when I’m on the Memorial .., always have , but yesterday was over the top ..,, I guess our Veteran son who flew in from AZ .., and wanted to see the Boxer .., added to the emotion ..

Punch Bowl of the Pacific is my other favorite place ... I am able to handle it as I walk a different pattern each time .., stopping to talk to as many fallen soldiers as I can .., thanking them for their sacrifice ..

Enjoy my rendition of The Battleship Missouri a proud symbol War and Peace ..

Yesterday I went to Pearl Harbor because on of the... (show quote)

According to my renditions, CV 63 & CV64 are both aircraft carriers. Your picture sure looks like a battle wagon (drednaught) rather than a carrier. Please explain.....

Very nice. What a handsome guy!

I used to like driving through Evergreen and the front lawns on homes fill of Elk. Ever now and then we would see or hear from someone complaining about the elks. I would have been more inclined to feed them rather than complain about them. I had a nice big salt lick in my back yard in Conifer. We lived in Kings Valley then. I have lived in many houses in many cities in many towns and as yet, I still miss Conifer the most. When I time comes, I plan a cremation here in Florida then a transfer to Central City where I was active in the Masonic Lodge there.
The best,
Ted

Wow!!! That's quite a harem the big guy has in the last pic.

A valued 6 pointer for sure. I used to live near Evergreen, Colorado; Conifer to be exact. I often saw these fellows so often that I rarely pulled out a camera. Now living in Florida, this site is more often rare than they are available. I wish I had those shots to look back on.
Bravo! and keep them coming.

A sadness comes over me - the home state, Colorado. My wife and I too cannot take the high country anymore. Our two daughters still live there in Loveland. An old penpal had a trailer on a site near one of the rivers. Haven't heard from him in a long time, I called the county Mounty for a wellness check. He was found on the floor of his trailer. They were able to bring him around and into hospice care. He died a few months later. May the name of Philip Kaiser go on and on....
Your photography is superb. This one here is among the favorites. Thanks for posting.

Should you ever stop posting, I for one will be disappointed. I used to take a lot of cactus blooms. I tried to submit them for publishing and all were objected. I gave up. I am glad to see someone keep going as you have.
Ted now in Palm Bay, Florida. Spent most of life in Western US. Miss it very much, though I admit I like the surf a bit. Having lived in 8 US states, I have moved around more than most women can stand. I had to give word to stay put now. I miss the west and living only 90 minutes south of the Grand Canyon. Thanks for your posts.

As I first opened this one, the computer had the two benches on the screen. I was elated as I scrolled down to see the pumpkins. I never saw one white, except that was painted. Yours do not appear to be painted. What is the meat color like? Makes me yearn for a pumpkin pie. Thanks for your nice posts.

Don't throw that Nikon away! Find an old camera - a real throwaway and with a hacksaw cut the bottom off so you can glue the bottom of the old to your P900 being careful not to glue a part where a doorway is located. If you don't want to do that, send it to me and I'll fix it.

Ted
