Hello, we have spent 12 years going to the sw and seen so many awesome places. We volunteered at Red Canyon Visitors Center near Bryce Canyon and learned of so many wonderful places. This book was recommended to us by a very knowledgeable volunteer and hiker. It became our Bible. You will find MORE info in this book and see more places with fewer crowds . Written by a photographer...everything is SPOT on. Well worth it. Willis Canyon, for instance, has 3 slot canyons...right out side Kodachrome State Park, cottonwood Canyon road, Burr Trail are 3 beautiful photography trips...each a good day but a tiny portion of Red Rock beauty. Happy exploring..Mary

An excellent suggestion. I might add that Volume 2 is entirely on Arizona.

I can't think of a situation where I would prioritise ISO over either of the other two variables. I don't have FV mode but if I did I'm pretty sure I'd just set it to give me the equivalent of M+AutoISO and just leave it there.

Even if I did want to force a value of ISO I'd just play it off against whichever of the other two variables I wanted to play it off against (which would usually be shutter speed, but it could be either, or both) - and all done in M+AutoISO. No need for anything else (especially since it doesn't rule out the possibility of exposure compensation).

Indeed! I've used Manual with auto ISO and exposure compensation for many years, particularly for wildlife.

All good suggestions, but FYI the Apache Trail drive to Roosevelt Dam can no longer be made. It was one of my favorite places to take out-of-town visitors, but has been blocked by landslides not far from Tortilla Flat for a few years and it's not known when it will open.

Some of these remind me of the photographic work of the great Milt Hinton. In addition to being a great musician, his hobby was photographing other jazz musicians and his output was impressive.

Shakespeare's King Lear said to his daughter, Cordelia, "Nothing can come of nothing." Perhaps he had read Aristotle's "Physics," which articulates that idea. Or the philosopher Lucretius who in his book "On the Nature of Things" says that nature's first principle is that "nothing's brought forth by any supernatural power of naught....Beholding many things take place in heaven overhead or here on earth whose causes they can't fathom, they assign the explanation for these happenings to powers divine. Nothing can be made from nothing--once we see that's so, already we are on the way to what we want to know."

For my part contemplating the universe makes my head hurt!

During Covid the advice was to wash hands for at least 30 seconds or twice through the birthday song. I used the head of Blue Train for that purpose. It's about 35 seconds just to be sure!

The late guitar pioneer discusses chasing the perfect sound (even at 90 years old), reading a story to audiences through his playing, and the unparalleled beauty of one magnificent note in this 2005 GP interview.

Oh, yeah! Les and Mary were two of the first performers that caught my attention as a 7-year-old barely budding musician. Once I heard these two I never looked back. Great article. Thanks for sharing!

I have been on Amazon several times looking for a DSLR camera. I have researched till I am blue in the face, and have narrowed it down to 2 bundles.
One is brand new, and the other is about $100 less and renewed. Is there anyone out there who has experience with the renewed products on Amazon? Are they reliable and in good condition? They SAY the products are in excellent condition and have been tested but you never know.
Thank you in advance.☺️

I just received a renewed tripod from Amazon that I do not believe was advertised as "renewed. Having said that, I cannot tell it from a new version.

After a major computer crash I needed to uninstall and reinstall Lightroom Classic. I was able to get back my original folder structure and photos, but I find no way to retrieve the Collections that I had originally. Are they lost or is there a way to retrieve them? Any help would be appreciated.

Why not simply call Adobe? 800 833 6687

Not so simple when Adobe's tech support number is so well hidden.
Thank you!

Hello, I subsribe to Lightroom Classic with Windows 10. I have used Adobe help 6-7 times so far for
different help items. Call 1-800-833-6687 for setting up a live "chat" with a technician with knowledge
with Lightroom. After answering a few introductory questions, he will instruct you to goto
(screen.share.adobe.com) so he can take over your computer and actually "see what you are seeing"
At that time, he or she (mostly a he) will be able to help you with your problem. However, because he
my be talking to you from India, his accent may be a bit hard to understand, so ask him to "slow down"
and take notes when possible, asking him to explain what and why he is doing. this problem may surface
again. Good Luck

The first thing I do when I have a problem with Adobe products is to call Adobe support. I've always gotten good results. That's part of what you pay them for.

Would you have a phone number for Adobe support? I have been unable to find one.
