I don’t know about that particular camera but on my Sony I overexpose by +1. That gets me very close to white snow. The glint will require the correct angle to the sun. My only suggestion is small aperture and correct angle found by experimenting. That’s all I’ve got. Sorry

Price is always a consideration but three possibilities are: These are all Sony lenses- 70-200 2.8 with a 1.4 teleconverter (I would stay away from the 2.0 just being honest). 2nd 100-400 (super sharp lens can be used with a teleconverter) 3rd the new 200-600 very good price and very sharp. It is a 5.6 lens the only drawback. I own two of these lens and have shot the 200-600. They are all very expensive but the IQ’s are fantastic. I used to own the 70-300 and I like to count the feathers on birds in flight or the hairs on the face of an animal. That’s why I choose these lenses. My advice is to save you money and rent the different lenses and see what one works for you. You the the old saying about advice, it free and that’s what’s it worth.

The answer to your question is YES. Ask any sports photographer and the camera would be useless if it wouldn’t. I use BBF, tracking, medium or large center spot. Place the spot over the desired tracking subject, press BBF and let tracking take over. You need to set tracking response to determine how responsive you want it to be. I shoot with an a9. It is an amazing camera.

I think it’s a very good photo. I would mask the flowers, add a little exposure, add a little texture, clarity, and warm them up a bit. The only problem is the flowers don’t pop. You can do this all in Lightroom. I am not close to a computer to give it a try.

If you haven’t found any problems then try to automate something. You will find a problem.

I shoot with an A7rll and an a9. When I shoot portraits I use wide and as my AF area. Then when I press my BBF button the eye box locks on. You can also press the dedicated button for eye auto focus on your camera. This works 90+ percent of the time. By restricting your focus area you are limiting the cameras ability to focus to that area. It might eventually find the eye but it is a gamble. You might as well give this a try. It works for me.

I own the A7rll and an A9 even though the A7rll is an older version of th A7rIV I have found the same result. I believe it is because of the high mp per image. I prefer to shoot a portrait or landscape on the A7rll. The a9 is exactly what you need for wildlife. It is fast and accurate. I use it for everything. I love it for sports, wildlife and the beautiful portraits are breathtaking. You have to do what you see best but you will be extremely happy with the a9. Happy decision making time.

I forgot to add I shoot with a 70-200 2.8 wide open, on a Sony a9 and usually end up with 2500 shots per game. A lot of deleting afterwards.

I shoot sports all the time. Unlike most people have told you I shoot A aperture priority. The camera will set the shutter speed and I adjust the the ISO to keep the shutter speed around 1/500 or higher.

I just had a lens repaired from Precision Camera. They did a fine job. I had to wait an extra week for parts but the lens and shipping was great. Just my experience. My advice if they didn’t call back then call again. Bother the heck out of them. I didn’t need to but do whatever it takes to get the job done. The company did a very good job for me.
