It would be foolish for a billionaire like Trump not to engage in legal tax avoidance to save millions in taxes; while others far less fortunate struggle with life--and pay taxes to fund government responsibilities--like education, FEMA, law enforcement, military etc.
Still, Trump refuses to release his tax returns.

Why are his tax returns your concern? Why don't you post your for every one to view?

The country did not do fine at the turn of the 19th century! Do some reading and learn about no sanitation, no roads, no dams, etc. Stop being an ignorant person!

It would appear mankind was doomed or should I say nearly doomed. In today's society, more trash, more waste is created because of overuse. If you think it proper to "man-up", why not charge a deposit on everything sold, in order to monetize and encourage re use?

Sensorloupe - Do you understand the reason for taxes? It goes to support your the local infrastructure of your community. The aging facilities that everybody beefs about but nobody wants to shell out money to repair. Man up!!
Pay your fair share and everybody in your vicinity wins! The State of Wisconsin requires any “unpaid tax” to be calculated and ultimately paid when I file my income tax, so I never actually got a break when B&H, Adorama, Amazon, etc., were not accounting for it as they should have been.

I am not so sure taxes aren't the invention of politicians. Taxes near the turn of the century (1900) were non existent. Then the politicians decided THEY needed income to run the country. Imagine, the country did fine without taxes and most folks were able to save a hefty amount of their earnings. I don't believe it is a matter of "man-up".

I have plans to visit Memphis in October. I know there are excellent photographic opportunities near Memphis, like water falls but I have not found any information in the Internet.
If anyone here knows the area or if someone has a link to information about photographic places around Memphis (not the city) I will appreciate that information.
I believe I saw that information here once but I cannot remember who was the OP.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I am not sure how I came across this site ShotHotspot (https://www.shothotspot.com/), but I visited it and created a link on my desktop. It may provide you with locations you may never have even considered....

When I remove a card from a camera, the first thing I do is replace it and format the replacement. That gives me time to download and back up the files before I use the card again.

I started doing that years ago after doing exactly what you did today. I always remember doing it, but no longer remember what shots I missed, so nothing lost.

I have my cameras set to notify me a card isn't in the camera, and I format the card before I start shooting....just a habit.....

I don't look at the reviews myself. I know that I stopped using Lexar a few years back because I had 2 4GB cards fail within a month of each other. I switched to SanDisk and Sony cards and have not had a failure in the past 5 years. So I would not buy Lexar again regardless of the reviews.

I am with you. I had two different Lexar cards fail on location and lost several shots because the images couldn't be recovered. Very disappointed. Strictly a SanDisk photog now.....

Exactly!!! I get a LOT of useful information from the Hog, especially from people who actually use the product I have or am considering to buy. I especially like the advice of those who have many years of experience!

Assuming this is a road trip, check out a website named roadtrippers.com. A great site to map out things to see and do on a road trip. It will show you places of interest, photo ops, places to eat and places to sleep.

Thank you for recommending this site! I travel with my disabled daughter and I would have loved to known about this site earlier this year. I now have it linked on my desktop for easy review.....

Thanks again

If price is not a major issue, buy the first, buy the best, WIMBERLEY. I own one and it is simply, the best, no one else is close. However, I never mount my 200-500, waste of time in Florida, you will miss more shots of flying birds than it is worth. If however, you want sitting birds, or nesting birds, or birds on a feeder and you will be doing so for a long period of time, then get the Wimberley. But I prefer hand holding.

That's what I meant by business use, if you charge a fee. If you present all your shows for free I think it's OK to use copyrighted music you have bought on CD. I always credit the musicians at the end of my programs and that's good advertising for them. I know for a fact that they have gotten sales from the exposure.

I might exercise caution with that philosophy.....My understanding is permission is required to use someone else's work....whether you charge a fee or not......

You can add with PowerPoint if you have MS Office. If you plan on putting it on Facebook keep in mind that they will check any music to see if you have rights to it or if it's free for anyone to use.
For music I would use something from Mannheim Steamroller.

If you can afford to pay for the rights....

That's another misconception. The fact that you are in the 25% bracket means that "the last dollars earned" may be taxed 25%. But, using single as an example, the first $9325 is still taxed at 10%, from $9,326 to $37,950 is taxed at 15%, from $37,951 to $91,900 is taxed at 25%.

So, if you are in the 25% tax bracket only your earning above $37,950 are taxed at 25%. And those taxes are applied to your adjusted gross income, the amount that is reduced by exemptions and deductions. Take a look at your income tax return and figure what the real percentage was that you paid. It will be considerably less than 25%. Now start working a little harder during that last 10 hours of the week.

Smoke & Mirrors......typical legalese....redirect attention or make the direction so complicated no one can follow the straight and narrow path.....make it so complicated most just shrug and move on .....not totally understanding how they are being taken advantage of......
