Banning DJI Drones in the USA?
Yes, they are trying to pass a bill to do just that.
Read this:

I would love to upgrade to a Mini 4 Pro, but going to wait until I find out if the idiots in Washington will ban all DJI drones. If China wants a photo, go to Google Earth and get all they want rather than searching through millions of photos/video we take. In the late 70's I was in a Secret briefing and was shown our satellites can read the paper of a guy sitting on a park bench. Don't you think China has at least that?

I have read this in several places on the internet, so they have to be true!!! :)

TEMU prices are very low so you will buy from them and they sell your information to make up for their profit.
Anyone know of this?

I could post many photos/videos here. Wasn't sure if it would be appropriate.
Here is a video I took last month the same place I took the photo above.

It takes a college degree to fly a plane, but only a high school diploma to fix one; a reassurance to those of us who fly routinely in our jobs. After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a 'gripe sheet,' which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.

Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers.

By the way,UPS is the only major
airline that has never, ever, had an accident.

P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.
*
P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.
*
P: Something loose in cockpit.
S: Something tightened in cockpit.
*
P: Dead bugs on windshield.
S: Live bugs on back-order.
*
P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200-feet-per-minute descent.
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground..
*
P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
S: Evidence removed.
*
P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.
*
P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what friction locks are for.
*
P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
S: IFF is always inoperative in OFF mode.
*
P: Suspected crack in windshield.
S: Suspect you're right.
*
P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.
*
P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious.
*
P:Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.
*
P: Mouse in cockpit.
S: Cat installed.
*
And the last one…
*
P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from the midget.

Ha! As a former Navy Pilot, we always did the same...that way problems were solved. These 'complaints' were written about Navy planes back in the '70's. Some were left out since they were a little more 'colorful'.

Same thing happened to the newly constructed mile long bridge from Pensacola, FL to Gulf Breeze, FL. Pensacola was told not to worry about a tropical storm. However, it turned into a level one hurricane over night. No one was prepared for that! A group of barges tied up for the 'tropical storm' broke loose and took out the new bridge.
Rather than a mile ride to Gulf Breeze, it now took over 2 hours to go around.
No protection around the base of the bridge. Will have to check to see if they corrected this.

You might want to stay away from TEMU. It is known they sell inexpensive items to get your information that they sell.

My only Karen experience was in the Fall when the leaves were turning and I wanted to start at 150', fly toward a large lake and get some great video. When I was getting ready I made sure no one was around. Took off, and at 150' started the video. Was going great until I heard a car door slam behind me and a "Karen" yelling telling me I cant fly a drone here and take pictures of the children. I again looked around and no one was in sight but her. I asked if they were in the trees? She looked puzzled. I ask her where the children were. 'Well there could be some around'. Landed did all I could to keep from telling her she was interfering with the operation of an aircraft; which is a Federal Violation and I will call the Police and she would be arrested. Held my thoughts and left.

If this should happen, I dont believe there is another drone company that even comes close to the technology of DJI, so drones in the near future would be eliminated.

Having said that, I don't believe it will happen...IF WE FIGHT IT. Write your Representive, Congress Person, even the White House. A simple search can find them for your area. Let them know how ridiculous it would be, and ask them to prove data can be transmitted back to China. Over a million DJI drones in the USA..so how many Chinese does it take to monitor all those drone photos and videos?

I have in the past, but not for that reason. Just wanted to get some video of the takeoff and some hovering. Now that you mention it, might be something I should do for 'safety' reasons.
I use a chest/shoulder mount. Also made a mount at the base of a caps bill. Easier to move around.
Have a GoPro Hero 4 Black, but it does not have stabilization, so I now have a DJI Action Camera. 100% better.
