I have used this app and it work perfectly. I have had now problems with it or the eyefi card on my canon 5d MKIII.
I also have this lens and it does not make any noises, I would send it in for repair asap...
To start with, I would have pulled the model further away from the background and blow it out.
Use the lowest aperture setting available for your camera, shallow DOF...
Thank you for all the kind replies...I'll post more as I take them....
This is my first posting so be gentle.
I wanted to try my hand at macro photography so I just purchased a Prime 100mm f2.8 macro lens for my canon 5dMKIII. Trying to get the DOF just right but I think this is pretty good start.
Been reviewing the entries in this site for a little while now and figured I should introduce myself. I've been using Digital photography for a few years now, migrated from film, and love every minute of it.
I belong to NAPP and consider myself a novice at using Photoshop.
My gear is a Canon 7D and I own several lenses but mostly I rent the more expensive lens. Currently it looks like Santa will be getting me a 5D MK III which I'm looking forward to breaking in.
As you can see I'm a avid Canon user and have always been even in my film days...
