He’s not wearing an Easter bonnet. Our boy managed to swallow a small squeaker toy. So much for the new D5 I had in my sights. BTW, he’s doing well.

I recently had to use a 3rd party company to repair a D750 I bought in Germany. 3 months later I finally got my camera back, Nikon was really not providing parts needed t repair shop, I should have sent it to Nikon in Germany in order to get repaired, really a bad deal, makes me never want to have a non USA model Nikon

The Tokina 100mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro D Macro is a great lens for $377.00 at BH Photo. It is a great alternative to the Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f2.8 at 775.95 from Nikon USA.

I just wanted to 2nd this lens, it is very good at macro, and also is a stunning portrait lens and rated as good as the other lens and less money but made very well! I went the whole route from EXt tubes to reversing and then to this lens, all options have pros and cons but this lens is very handy multi purpose

Looking at the D750 full frame newly announced nikon vs a c-sized sensor like a D7100 so which is actually better?

My version of logic would be if I had the same number (24MP) in each of those sensors, then the smaller sensor would have the higher density of pixels and would yeild a more pixels per unit than the same number of pixels spread out to a full frame sensor? I am I missing a critical thing in this logic?

Yes thanks Jim for those suggestions, I will have to see where I can find something like a release board or release paper? Kooltack sounds like a nifty product

Ok along with the idea of either printing yourself on inkjet or getting them done at Costco or such - I am venturing off into dry mounting onto mats or poster or foam core boards. I have a 18x24 dry mounting press and about to begin testing the process - any suggested tips on this? I worry about the heat harming the print, especially the inkject versions. If someone has seen a good tutorial you could point that out too.

Yes up to 13x19 but mostly print the sensitive ones such as Fine art figure and implied nudes, not sure what Costco would say if I sent them there? the rest I also send to Costco.

The Nikon 105G is a prime lens. It's a macro and a very good portrait lens.

Here's some more, better tutorial on photos and music and imovie

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BT9hnpxJlVc

watch this for starters, I found this and 17,800 other entries when I searched for "how to make a slideshow with imovie"

heck I even learned more from this, didn't know about the "markers" you could quickly add to music and then photos - cool check this stuff out its great, either that or you have to find a 12yr old kid to explain it to us.

Yes imovie is like the light version of Final Cut Pro, which is the industry standard for movie production, kind of like photoshop elements is to photoshop full version.
Can do virtually all the same things as the full blown version and hardly anything that 98% of people need in the full version vs the other version.

Yup you can -its too long to explain fully but here's a little sample (search for any tutorial you want on imovie at youtube) ie "adding music to imovies" for example.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MT-ce8s3o30

This is a video, slideshow, with many different songs, transitions, slideshows and music near the end, etc... of some goose hunting of mine in SK, canada last fall (disclaimer there are snow geese being hurt in the movie) knock yourself out - imovie is capable of making whole movies and presentations etc... and it should have been free with your Mac! and I am not even very good at this yet, so its a very very capable program
