Sarge,
Very good, the only omission from my experience is a man has no problem making a solo trip to the restroom when in a public place.

Tell me who they are because their archaic. Ask him if he knows what word marks are, they differenciate between instructions and addresses. A big difference, and if they are still using it, I'd rather not be flying their planes.

Brucej67. not really machine language was what Autocoder would generate after compilation. I was dealing with maintenance, coding a patch and inserting it into the same allotted number of bytes and fixing a logic glitch. Eventually the logic change was made in Autocoder and recompiled into a bizillion punched cards. It gave you a real test of accuracy, but now drives me nuts when dealing today with computer screening at User help facilities as they have totally lost the sense of logic that used to be a requirement.

I started writing code in the late 60's for the phone company. The code was all machine language, when BAL came along it was a jump forward as it had macros that you could use. The IBM1401 mainframe had a capacity of 8k, and the programs were carried in a long card shaped box that looked like a gun case. The program would read in in stages, perform a specific task to the whole universe of files then read in the next bit of the program to perform, rewind the magnetic tape and apply the next bit of logic. Has sure come a long way.

I find it funny that all of you say you love UHH and it is a great place for info, you also appear to be rare in the animal kingdom as most animals won't crap in their own nest. As one of my opening comments when I recently joined, I was less than impressed by the BS that seems to permeate whenever politics are brought up. The inability to speak intelligently and tolerate each other is a shame, that also seems to infect our country from coast to coast. If you can respect each other's photographic skills, and not their politics I suggest that you stay away from bringing up the latter. F-bombs, FOX news as a credible source, and all the rest. You sound like a bunch of little kids on the playground, and I am sure many of you are as old as me, act it. I apologize to all you out there that are not participating in this little slug fest.

bsrhea05 - welcome. go to the second part where you can check the frequency of emails you want. I don't recall if it tells you what you had selected but you can change it to daily and see if that fixes it. Good pictures, my old dog used to lay all splayed out in the cement floor of my basement of under the barn.

As an ex-GOPer and living in NH I get to meet many candidates of all flavors here. I got out of the party many decades ago when I realized that they (GOP) were convinced that they knew all the right answers rather than their constituents. Do I think the extreme Dems are much better - no, So I am an Independent and vote for the person I like best at every position. I have never in my life voted a straight ticket because there are bozos along the way in every election. Weeding them out is supposed to be our job, do it wisely.

The scary part is the idiots that chair committees, and push legislation, and have no idea of the basic science or realities of what they are trying to sell. Maybe a lot more of them should just shut up, or there should be a basic entrance exam to many of the technical committees. Thanx for the update remoman

My horticultural daughter got back to me and she knows it as Asiatic Day flower and it has the true botanical you identified, I just wanted to add that the flowers and new leaves are both edible, would look good on the right salad.

that makes sense, they all look so cute and serene but it can be a jungle, look at hummingbirds, I've put feeders on 3 sides on my house and they still would rather have a skirmish than leave the others alone. I can understand it when the lead males come to claim territory, but all summer long.

I agree with your id, but all the pictures of it I could find do not show the little feather tiara on his head. Is this the norm for them in your area? great shot, love birds.

Totally worth an early rise, especially like #2 and there is an eerie quality to the last, interesting.

We always had Red tailed hawks living across the river on the side hill. One day I was planting and weeding on the river plain and heard a hawk's call, looking up I say one hawk flying up out of the trees. The hunter flew in with a squirrel/chipmunk in its talons. Like a pro basketball player it tossed it down to its mate, who "sat back" and snagged it in her talons. I didn't have my camera, but will forever remember the scene. It was extraordinary, had I been fussing with my SLR I probably would have missed it all.
