I'm in the process of purchasing a new camera and have rented this one as a potential purchase. And like the gentleman said it does focus quickly but I found it best for landscapes and only slow moving objects. when trying to catch Redtail hawks etc. I found it focused quickly but not all that accurately and I was using the Fuji 100 to 400 lens. In all three focus modes and both continuous Low and continuous hi modes.

That is the type of information I am looking for, although not what I want to be the truth, thanks!

Thank you all for the informative answers. I am having a hard time actually touching one, local camera shop here is out of stock. I have watched Omar's YouTube videos, very informative and helped me decide this may be the right camera for me. I have subscribed to a few Facebook sites for the XT 20 and the photos from some are outstanding. I was interested to hear negatives, and no one has presented any other than size and battery life which are problems with all mirrorless. Now to get my hands on one!!!

I am considering the purchase of this camera because we do a lot of hiking and my Canon T4i is quite heavy and has begun to fail to focus at times. (I have to actually turn it off and back on to get it to try to focus at times) I usually keep an 18-300 lens on the camera. Does anyone have experience with this mirrorless camera? I am interested in the speed of focus and shutter lag also because I take many picture of the grandkids in sports. Primary interests are landscape, wildlife and the family shots including sports. The Fuji has great reviews but I haven't seen much on this forum about it.

We use an Olympus Tough and a Go Pro when in the water. Both take great underwater pics as well as above water.

I've made a few iPhoto books and they have come out very nice. Pricier than Shutterfly though.

I love my ThinkTank Turnstyle 20. It is heavy when it's full but it is a sling bag so it distributes the weight to your back. It has a special pocket for your iPad and will hold the camera and three lenses easily. A flash too if the lenses aren't all long ones. Be sure to go try them on. I took my camera and lenses to the photo shop and tried several all loaded before I made my decision.

Hold an arm out in front of you and point at an object in the distance. Now close one eye at a time and see which one sees your finger as pointing at the object. If you are "left eyed" as I am, your left eye will see your finger pointing at the object and vice versa. I am left eyed and I agree, my greasy nose gets all over the viewing screen! Oh well.

This is amazing! I knew I always used my left eye and now I know why!

I just bought a Thinktank Turnstyle sling bag for a recent trip. It will hold the camera and three or more lenses and a flash, your wallet and an iPad. Was great for the entire trip, you just bring it forward to get out your gear. Took my camera and lenses to the camera store and tried everything they had. This fit me well and is comfortable. I am a 5'9" woman and I think you really need to try them with your gear so you can get an idea of the weight and ease of use.

No experience dropping the iPad but I did drop my iPhone. After looking into trying to repair the screen (I could still use the phone, but the screen was shattered) I decided to take it to the Apple store for advise. They replaced it for $49! I was thrilled with that wonderful customer service! Don't know if they do anything similar for the ipad.

Thanks for all the info! I guess I'll start with DPP and go from there. Glad to know it is an acceptable program that others use successfully.
