May I get on my hobby horse about criticism on this forum.
These are really nice pictures of a very pretty model and well posed but someone said they are superb and, for reasons stated by others they are not superb. No one is going to improve unless defects are pointed out. Sloping horizon the obvious fault, blown out highlights and so om.The presenter realises this and takes it in a good spirit and will improve because of it.
There's me, grumpy old man again.

Thanks you !!!! Thanks, that's how I'm going to improve.

1 Georgie - If this pretty gal is truly a cowgirl, to use an expression coined by Louis L'Amour, best-selling cowboy novelist of all-time, she'd be one to "ride the river with." Meaning she looks sturdy, trustworthy and companionable. Photographically speaking, the pictures are superb. :D :D :D :D

Thank you

I always forget something stupid like a stick coming out of the models' head or something. Pretty girl.

I do the same thing.

Bring your whites and your highlights down. They are even blown out in the B&W. Just a tad of saturation may help, but it is not necessary. Overall, quite nice!

Oh, and the horizon being off in the first one is a little distracting. I am afraid though, if you straighten it, it would probably cut a lot more of her out of the picture.

Yes I see it now... Thanks

The problem is the new Photos ap that Apple replaced iPhoto with. If you have updated the OS or have a new iMac you have Photos (a circular multi-color flower-like icon in the dock). The desktop export is the way you get your images into any other ap than Photos. Photos does have an internal editor which works ok for non-serious work but has nowhere near the capability of Photoshop, PSElements or Lightroom. I am very frustrated by Apple's approach to user photo editing and have been considering researching a change. Right now, I am exporting (I have a separate hard drive I export the images to for editing and storing. The input photos remain in Photos for now. It does give you backup in a way.

Yup it is distracting. Someone did suggest photo mechanics, it's a photo organization software but that's 150.00. I really don't want to go that route

I had an Imac for a brief period and went back to PC. Anyhow, I did not have any problems with LR or Photoshop CC. Everything worked the same way. Import;Copy as DNG into LR, do edits, Export as before. The problem that happened to me was that I copied my files into my Imac disk outside of LR and lost virtual file LR edits.

Check Apple Support. They are very good.

I normally use JPEG.
