I have two very large (24x30) prints Walmart did, (while I waited), about 5 years ago and so far, no visible signs of fading or discoloration. Nice vivid colors. Also have had multiple 5x7's and 8x10's with no problem..... so far.

Well done! Some of the best and most interesting street scenes I've seen in a long, long time.

My wife and I were born during the post-WWII era and were raised in or near Liverpool. We remember well, the deprivations of food rationing and the inevitable shortages. So yesterday, when she baked scones for dessert, she asked that I serve them with 'best butter'. Do any other old- timers out there remember the term, and was there ever a 'worst butter'? Maybe it was just a term to differentiate it from plain old margarine, often likened to 'axle grease'.
This was also in the pre-household refrigerator era, when butter would go off if not consumed in a timely manner, whereas margarine seemed to last almost indefinitely.
As I am writing this, I recall the term 'clarified butter', does this sound familiar to anyone?

Well Scouser, I remember those day well. Our difference between 'real' butter and the imitation one was a colorless, lard like spread = Oleo margerine. In time, they added the yellow color to it creating the better butter substitute. "Real'' butter was scarce and much more expensive, but it was my 'Better Butter'.

There are two things in this picture. One is a dog. What is the other thing? I have no idea. Maybe it's just a conversation piece for when you take your dog for a walk.

This showed up in a Temu ad here.

Jerry, maybe the 'sex I.D. choice craze' has also hit the animal world and he wants to remain anonymous?

I agree with you Jerry about the use of 'Everything'. Great little utility. I've used it since its' inception.
Never have used a more efficient 'finder' as it.

For those who wish to 'find' it, it's available several places, but I prefer using 'Ninite.com', which is a safe site to download many items from.

I consider myself lucky to be looking forward to my 80th birthday in a few months. So many people never make to half that age. Take a look at the world average and averages by country.

Unfortunately, I suspect that some people will not be able to control themselves, and this will be sent to The Attic.

Yes indeed, one is blessed to reach 80, especially with reasonably good health. I'm pushing hard on my 90th birthday and still enjoying 'snapping' a few photos, messing with Photoshop Elements and just learning and existing, so I consider myself very blessed. I just got home after a two-week 'stay' in the hospital because of Covid Pneumonia, which really kicked my butt, but doing my best to make a come-back. Hang in there, Jerry! The Hog needs you.

I didn't know where to post this, but if this is wrong I know I'll hear about it.

I want to be able to record videos like those you would find on YouTube, but for my own use, not to post online. I want to be able to record my screen, as well as my voice as I describe procedures. I have been searching and Googling and coming up empty, maybe because I don't really know what I want. One "recommended" software for beginners was a $ 42-a-month subscription. I don't mind paying for software but this is something I might use a half-dozen times a year, so I'm not going to pay monthly for something I so rarely use.

This doesn't have to be brilliant professional video; I don't even know how to edit video. Just something basic I can send to my brother in an email. Basic stuff.

Microsoft (free) ClipChamp offers that feature under "Record & Create" option on the left side of the display.
"CapCut" is also another possibility. I use Wondershare's 'Filmora' to create mine. Not free but fantastic video editing software.

How about eliminating the general non-photography chit chat forum? It has absolutely no relevance here. Th3 dialogue spirals into nonsense pretty fast. Me, I’m looking for photography insights here.

gvarner,
It's my experience that practically all (successful) forums have a 'chat' section and Like the Hog, they offer a choice for the readers to either take part in that section or not. My suggestion is for you to by-pass this section and move on to the ones that interest you. ''Easy-Peasy", eh?
