How do I go about creating my own profile, are there instructions in LR. Thx for your help

You choose the brand name and then you get list of all of the supported lenses. Choose the one that matches your lens and you are good to go.

I purchased a Nikkor 28-200 lens because it has very good ratings. It is obsolete but still a great lens. In the Develop module under lens corrections the list of Nikon lenses doesn't have a listing for my lens. What lens from the list most closely matches matches my 28-200 g lens? TIA

Thanks for all of your responses and suggestions. My brother and I restored all of the files and my catalog is back. One thing that I don't understand is a few of the folders are greyed out and have a ? on them. They still work properly and the photos are there, but the folder has the question mark. It doesn't cause any problems, it's annoying.

I was deleting some files from my LR catalog and ended sending half of my catalog to the trash bin. I haven't emptied it and the folders are there. How do I return the folders to my catalog? TIA

I sit here and read these threads and the comments from folks like tschmath who hate people saying to enforce existing gun laws and to offer a suggestion for something different. Ok, but first a question, do you realize that a background check would have done nothing in the case of the Newtown shootings? Adam Lanza did not own the guns he used, he took them after killing his mother. All of the checks in the world would not have helped since his mother protected him and he flew under the radar. BTW, his mother passed all of the Conn. checks that were some of the most restrictive in the country at the time. You want a law that will make a difference? Try a 10 or 15 year mandatory prison sentence for ANYONE convicted of a crime using a gun. No pleas, probation, nothing. Do the crime and you are gone, goodby. Here in Md we now have probably the most restrictive AW ban in the country. Will it help? Probably not, it only further takes away the rights of law abiding citizens. You can't legislate complete safety, there is no stopping the random acts of a madman bent on getting his moment of fame from the media.

I have a D200 that I bought and sent back to Nikon because of the banding issue that this model had. Shoots perfectly now and has a very low shutter count. Mske me what you feel is a reasonable offer and we'll go from there. I had to re-register because I couldn't remember my name/password combination, but I stop in every day and read what's gping on. Been doing so for a couple of years.
