I also have a canon t3i and wanted a wide angle lens for a trip to Glacier Ntl park, wyoming, montana Etc... 10 day road trip. I went to a local camera store with my camera and money... The sales person let me try several in the parking lot.. All were nice.. The one I fell in love with was the Tamron 10-24mm. I purchased it and larry and I took off for banff, etc for ten days..I brought back just unbelievable photos and this lens is now my standard lens next to my other two tamron lenses and 1.4 converter. ( 18-270, and 90mm 1:1 macro 2.8. Also a Tamron 1.4 converter.) The only Kit lens I have kept is the Canon 18-55. Have a good life and happy times...Blessings Al

Sorry about the second post but I needed to add that the photo was taken with a real cheap pocket digital camera... I was able to be places at this event that the other photographers could be at because they were to slow if the need arose to get out of the area quickly...

I am handicapped and cannot stand, walk, or bend... I have a Victory 10 electric scooter made by a company named Pride. It will go 8 mph and has several inches ground clearence.. To make a long story short I can load 2 camera bags, lunch, and either a monopod or tripod which sets up on the floor of this machine. Has also a large rear basket and a slightly smaller on on the front. 40 inches long and 24 inches wide without the baskets. At half speed it will last a full days shooting inside or out. Breaks down into 5 pieces and will fit in the trunk of a mid size car. ( I have a friend with a small pickup and I use an inexpensive set of metal ramps. I go to places with semi smooth unpaved trails. I am looking now at its successor which is even nicer.. The Victory 10 I purchased for just under $2,000.00 The newest one is just under 3 Grand... Not for everyone but a life saver for me as I can continue to be very active in my hobby... One other nice thing when I am on a shoot with others they are usually tired out by noon and I am still as fresh as when we started before daylight.....Blessings

I enjoyed this event in a small western washington town..

Poo! Please move to another country....You would probably not be as bitter and controlling if you lived with your own kind...I also pray that nothing happens to you that you would need the help of others. You would probably be out of luck. We all have our opinions and this is mine... Blessings

After reading chit chat for several days I have come to the conclusion that there is a general mass insanity in this country ( among other places ). I remember a Chief in the mid fifties telling me that the most worthless person in his division was the man who spent most of his time talking.. The most valuable was the man who shut up and did his job. The borders of the U.S. surround the largest mental instution in the world!!!!!!!!!!! .... Jesus taught me that I must love God and my neighbors and also that I must love my enemies and pray for those that would percscecute me. Getting along and working together is the real answer.. Blessings Al

Hello HH friend... I now use Tamrac Bags and associated goodies... (Tamrac.com) They sell several wallets for cards and batteries... (4 pockets for batteries and 4 pockets for cards).. When either is exhausted you return it to the pocket it came from and pull up an attached red tag. I have been using it for about 6 mo now and have had no further problems getting a charged card or battery .. It either fits onto the bag or into the bag, on the bag strap camera strap or belt, etc. Good luck in your photographic endevours.... Al

I am 72 and I am very excited about the direction where Obama is trying to go..The first president I was afraid of was Ronald Regan... Not just for the well being of me and mine but for the beautiful country we had before him...We all have our point of view and that is exactly why we served our country in the military..I do not share your opinion of our president , but served in the U.S. Navy to protect that right for all citizens.... Blessings to you and yours A.

Have the crew rig a bosun's chair to the overhead and shoot from there. The ship may pitch and roll but you will remain for the most part stationary. Also a fast shutterspeed and vr would help... Did this many times and it generally works in reasonable wather

I used to have the same problem then.. Now as then I keep a medium priced uv on my camera for protection.. If the shot is very important and I need the best quality I can obtain with my equipment I place the camera on a tripod, hook up the remote shutter, and remove the filter for the shot and check the lens for smuges etc and take the shot with the miror up and a 10 sec delay...I am new to the forum and am looking forward to learning and shaing...
