Has anybody used, or know about, Crucial SSDs? They are doing a lot of advertising and have two models: X6 in plastic case and X8 in a metal case.

Bought a Crucial BX500 1TB SSD to replace a WD HDD running Windows 7. Put Windows 10 Pro onto the SSD, running now for over 6 months with no problems at all. Have used Crucial RAM chips before, again without problems.
Windows now boots up in seconds and the speed difference is dramatic (and lack of noise). Don't hesitate is my advice / experience.

Use a clone stamp tool to remove the roof part. I did that to remove a crane on a image taken from the Accademia bridge looking towards the Old Customs House and a large canvas print of that re-worked image has been hung on my wall for some years.
One of the most photogenic places I know. The Rialto bridge is wonderful, even more so when you read of it's construction.

The RAF / MOD publish 'anticipated' timetables for low flying training:-

Not been myself but it is on my bucket list, I have seen some incredible images taken by others.

I had a similar trip to NYC last year. I did the Top of the Rock at night with a fantastic view of midtown & downtown Manhattan. You can put your camera on stonework right at the top of the Rock and have unrestricted views (no fences, no glass). I did the ESB during daylight the following day with amazing views over the Hudson & East rivers. Glad I did both.

Well, is Canon or Nikon the better camera? I am an advanced amature.

In the UK we would write amateur not amature so could it be construed we would write Sony instead of Nikon or Canon?

Super image Geoff. Can imagine it's quality at A3+. Worthy of inclusion in a calendar for mass publication. Congratulations.

I have used Firefox almost since the initial release. I currently have 26 folders covering different subjects with many hundreds of bookmarks. Left click on the bookmark dropdown box, right click in the list, left click on 'New Folder', give it a name and start loading up your new folder(s) by dragging & dropping your bookmarks. You can also move a folder into another folder to create sub directory folders.

Will give you all the background.

Stunning. I would print them up as a set of three in a nice frame and hang them up. Congratulations.

I am glad most of you enjoyed the images. Canterbury Cathedral is a Wolrld Heritage Site and they charge an admission fee, your fee gives access to the Cathedral for a 12-month period. Apparently it costs £18,000 per day to keep the place open & running! On their website they do state photography for personal use is OK but they will charge a fee for stock and commercial photos. The only area you can't photograph is the Crypt - there is a display in the Crypt of some of the artifacts they hold, wonderful gold & silverware going back to the 12th Century. Many visitors were using flash, point & shoots where they probably didn't know how to suppress the flash - all my interior shots were without flash on a Sony SLT-A65 using the multi frame noise reduction option.

I used to live in Canterbury & Herne Bay when I went to University there, graduated in 1974. My wife had not been to Canterbury although she had holidays in Deal & Margate when younger. We had a few days in East Kent and I took her into Canterbury. Attached a few images of the magnificent Cathedral.

Agreed Emm, a very emotional place. I was there with my family at the end of May and what got to me is when you see a name followed by "and her unborn child".

Interestingly, the Lockheed SR-71 "Blackbird" there is the only one on display outside of the US.

Thanks for the images, great place to visit when they have flying days, not many places that manage to put 9 Spitfires up flying in formation!

I recently have had a stroke not one but three and now they are pretty sure that I have CNS Vasculitis, let us say not good. Well have you ever tried to take photos wobbling or with a cane and tripod. This picture is of my youngest dog and he can always make me laugh. I just need to vent I am trying to remember some of then things I learned early on and they are coming back slowly. Is there any one out there that has had a stroke and struggled returning to photography?
Thank you

DJM got it right. Winston Churchill said "Never give in, never give in, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense." In my view, the greatest Englishman that ever lived.

Beautiful dog picture, good luck to you.

My Dad had dementia and passed in February so I know exactly where you are coming from.

Great camera, had mine for 12 months now, upgraded from A100. Lot to learn but capable of outstanding image quality. Like James, I use HDR function often, multi-frame noise reduction is great in museums and low light without a tripod. Manual focusing using the peaking function is useful. So many go down the Nik-Can route and cast doubts about anything else but I'm still smiling! Enjoy your new acquisition.
